Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

How many downs of football has Smith played so far?

For real.  If last night showed anything its how important preseason is and actually being able to tackle in practice.

Last night was the first time Devonta has been hit and tackled since the first half of the National Championship Game. I really do not like this organizations aim to try to avoid tackling at all costs until the regular season.  It will have negative consequences on both the offense and defense to start the season.

Yes. This game was a PR nightmare, but a HC's MO.

HCs are more worried about getting ready for the season than providing a telegenic product in preseason.

Belichick saw his team get dominated in scrimmages, he was probably sending a message to his first team to pick it up, Sirianni has a different agenda, he's primarily concerned with evaluating bubble players in the 2nd exhibition game.

20 snaps in an exhibition game are not going to prepare you for the regular season, people read too much into these games.

If you want to get your team primed, more intense practices the week before the first game have a lot more value, 1s against 1s using the whole playbook.

Lol howed they look? Did he see any keepers from that crap show last night?? What's the final preseason game gonna be for, evaluating the other teams players we might be able to pick up after final cuts???

What a bunch of nonsense.

The Pats practiced the same as we did, and then came out man 1 through man 90 and took us behind the woodshed.  This team look unprepared, undisciplined and uninspired.

The only bubble players that impressed last night played for the other team.  There was literally nothing, not one positive to be taken from that disaster.

When does the "Tank for Rattler" talk start?

Watkins played 25 of his 30 snaps in the slot.

Seems the only people that complain about players needing to play in preseason are the fans

He played a half of 1 pre season game.  He hasn't played one game in the NFL yet.

So? Did I say he was never going to be any good? I simply asked a question, seems to be the problem with all of our receivers they lack the simple ability to just catch the ball.

Nope.  Belichek played his starters.  Reid played his starters... look around the league, it is not a coach's MO to not play players in PS game #2.  Sirianni didn't play them at all.  That's an outlier, not the norm.

As for the last line... I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for Sirianni to run an 'intense' practice any time before Game 1.   This team is deathly afraid of injuries.  They aren't tackling.  They are running short practices.   I don't expect them to ramp that up leading up to Game 1.  They should have been ramping up for last night and the next PS game, then ramping down a bit leading up to the first game, to them ramp up again.  This team is soft, because that's the way Lurie/Howie want it to avoid injuries in practice.  But, we've seen that those injuries show up in games like gangbusters... perhaps due to the lack of physical activity in practice.   🤔

Amen to that my friend. I want no part of Rattler.

No, your words were "why can't we draft a receiver who can simply catch"....dude hasn't played a down yet, wait a few games to make a stupid statement like this.

Nick Sirianni isn't making those calls.  Give me a break.

Are you a conspiracy theory guy?  Tin foil hats? "They" run everything (whomever they are).

Just another reason to add to the list of why I don't want him here.

There is no question he was immature last season but the kid is good. Looking forward to seeing him mature this year and continue where he left off last year

He’s making money off his likeness. That’s not being an attention w****. It’s good business.

It may be preseason but we look like straight dog crap

Good thing it's just preseason and mostly the guys fighting for roster spots who played.  I don't recall seeing very many starters who played.  If they did it wasn't for very long.

You don't know who 'they' are?    Selectively obtuse today, are we?

Lurie and Howie... disaffectionately called "Lowie".

More than likely got the craps from working so hard all off season. Did anyone get a video of him crapping I'm guessing he works hard at that too

A normal,  likeable guy does one courtesy flush in the locker room bathroom. Hurts gave 3 courtesy flushes.  He just goes above and beyond in everything.

I agree. It's a new era. College kids can market themselves and make money without any consequences now. But that shirt is damn ugly

Precisely.  And that is the issue I have.  We'll see if they are ready for Game 1, Quarter 1, drive 1.   And if they can sustain it through Quarter 4.   We'll see.

The advantage of watching 5 decades of football

Such a lame take.  Until satellite TV, you could only watch a couple games a week.  I have been watching football since 1988, so this will be my 33rd year.  I had NFL ticket for years, and with multiple ways to stream games, I can watch all games.  I would be willing to bet that I have watched more football than you.  You may have watched more Eagles football than me if you lived in the local market before you could watch out of market games, but total football, I bet I have watched way more and its not even close.
