First string , second string. , third string  , it doesn’t matter , you have to at least  convert one third down  , two games in , birds have converted zero .

Most players last night won’t be on the team.  They kind of got their old fourth PS show and tape opportunity yesterday.  I think those that sneak onto the 53 shouldn’t sign a long term lease.  6 on the waiver wire is going to be a value to the Eagles and may tie to some of the cap flexibility.

Yeah, in preseason you put players in position to fail, to determine their strengths and weaknesses, in real games you put them in position to succeed.

And sometimes players surprise, Edwards looks good dropping into zone because he doesn't have to run with faster players and can use his instincts to break up plays.

McPhearson is getting matched up outside in preseason, but his future is probably as Maddox's replacement in the Kenny Moore role in Indy. Which is why Howie will probably draft at least one CB in the top 100 in next year's draft.

No, if Lane goes down Driscoll is clearly better than Pryor, we saw that last season. But I think they want him to get experience at OG in preseason so he can back up three spots along the line (not sure if he can handle LT). They haven't tried him at center yet, though Herbig may encourage that move. Long-term guard is probably in his future, maybe replacing Seumalo.

Dickerson has played all along the line, and has the length (if not the feet) for OT, but given his lack of experience with the team I'd think they'd use him at C and maybe OG once activated.

Fair enough.  Agree on Driscoll, and I'd much prefer to see what Dickerson can do at C if Kelce misses any time this season.

The vets that were benched? Not really. If they are gassed in week 1 in the 4th it won’t be because they missed out on their 10 snaps in week 2 of preseason.

Not sure how putting them out there in a situation that is stacked against them to succeed is good for their confidence.  If you want to get them productive reps, you put the starting line in front of Flacco so he can set up and make throws that gives the WR's an opportunity to be productive and build their confidence.

False.  Game reps are different than practice reps.  That is why they call it getting in game shape.  

all i got from that showing last night was that this team has depth issues and the FO needs to start looking at better depth that will be getting cut the next few weeks. the pats QB's looked decent cause they had all day to look over the field.

It’s preseason. I don’t see how that’s destroying their confidence. It’s going to give coaches tape to work with and help them improve. They aren’t game planning at all, they just want to see fundamentals.
