Remember when the Lions went 4-0 in preseason that one year?

Then turned around and went 0-16.

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

Most people don't pay much or anything for preseason tickets.

Season ticket owners are charged for those games, but it's just a hidden increase of the price of real tickets. Like those low cost car leases with the upfront payment in small print. You have to prorate the hidden charge to find the true average cost of a game ticket (monthly lease cost for the car).

Yes and either way the lions are unwatchable pre season and season.

That owners been stealing money for ages

I'd say they're unwatchable in the post season but they're never in it.

I had no idea, I've never had season tickets to anything, only ever been to one NFL game and I didn't pay for it.

I'd be more concerned about Hurts' readiness for Week 1 than anything else right now.  Essentially pulling himself out of a game right before kickoff is "troubling".  Not sure if the trip to the hospital was legit or not -- seems very strange to go from taking part in pre-game warmups to being rushed to the hospital.

Been reported he had a stomach infection and doc told him to go home and rest for 2 days

So for whatever that's worth.

Sounds like a normal post taco bell visit

So who to believe.  afan and his band of apologists that it doesn't matter, or one of the team leaders, gosh, that is a hard one.

So question for the Blog.

If one already knew what last night's pre season game was going to be like how much would one be willing to pay to watch it???

-$300

You’ve never had a medical issue flare up almost instantly?

I guess we can toss that "always compete. Competition" angle in the trash

Did he crap his pants on the field?

I think the Browns were also undefeated in preseason the year they went 0-16.

Could of been a precaution too. They may have wanted to get him out of there ASAP in case it was the Rona.

What about parking, concessions, etc?

Yes and Sam Bradford had the best preseason game of all time

Love Lane.

Love his remarks about competitive pride which has been a message from Nick since day one

I haven't been one to make fun of the Rick paper scissors in the past

But it seems odd to me that a coaching staff that has been preaching competition all summer would show up and be so uncompetitive in a pre season game

My only explanation would be that the coaches didn't see the pre season game as a competitive exercise and instead used it purely as an evaluative tool.

The alternative would be that they either just suck or don't care?

Looks like #94 to me, so Josh Sweat.

After seeing @LeanMeanGM, could also be Matt Leo

Sweat didn't play at all. Pretty sure its 64. Tattoos match up also.

I agree 100%.  Which begs the question... what will those 1s look like in a couple weeks?

Not for nothing but if there's a bunch of missed tackles and timing problems on offense then they really are messing up the season.  I have no problem resting much of the veterans on the d-line. I think sitting Slay is fine.  I think the starting o-line should have at least had a couple of series.   I do think they did well getting the number 1 receivers work.
