Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

I remember looking at some games on him before the draft.  Sort of a tweener.  Body like a TE but plays like a big slot WR.  Blocking just wasn’t there. Not sure his game would translate in the NFL as seemed like mostly holes in zones.  Didn’t strike me as particularly fast nor crisp.  Good hands.  IIRC, he was well rated as a local kid coming out of high school. I thought he had signed elsewhere as a UDFA.  Could just be a local kid tryout

He was with the Cardinals for a little bit

Every reporter has been saying he’s being outplayed by the likes of Ward, JJAW and then the others. And he’s not running around exclusively with Mullens. He started the first game and didn’t get a target with Hurts or Flacco. Then this week they demote him to not playing at all the first half and instead going in the game to start the 3rd.

Ward played 21 snaps in week 1 (0 targets) and 4 snaps yesterday (0 targets). Fulgham played 13 snaps yesterday. I'm not saying that Fulgham plays exclusively with Mullins, but that Mullins was so bad that whatever WRs he's out there with can hardly be evaluated.

Honestly, I think Mullins is better than what we're seeing, but playing a version of the offense they aren't really planning to use in the regular season combined with  so many non-starters out there, he looks really bad. I was watching the game and my wife sat down and I was complaining about a lot of things. That 4th down play came up and I said to her, "Watch, Mullens will get pressured end end up doing something stupid like take a sack" (when he could at least have thrown the ball up for grabs.) He got sacked, but a penalty saved him for a moment. I mean, it's a turnover on downs when you get sacked. WR covered or not, that ball should be in the air. His awful game prevented WR evaluation. Watching that mess made me long for the days at the Vet when they would call a preseason game because of a pothole under the turf.

What we saw last night was a vanilla preseason game plan. While that was happening Bill decided to blitz non stop. He was trying to get Siri to show his cards while not letting the offense do anything. Siri wasn’t ready for that. It was a learning lesson. Bill took a competitive advantage over Siri. Hopefully Siri realizes now that other coaches aren’t just gonna let you work on your team easily.

Actually for preseason games quite often the offensive coaches (Sirianni or Stoutland) will ask the opponent to throw some blitzes at them to help grade how the young OL handles it.  With joint practices before the game I’d bet it was something that was agreed upon

WFT defense looks good ,fast at all 3 levels , they are going to be very tough

Chase has multiple drops tonight and is not separating.

We might have gotten WR1 while getting an extra 1st rounder.

WR 1  will probably be a player  that wasn’t hyped to be WR1

Some one last year posed the question, what if chase looked good because of Jefferson not the other way around???

Bares watching

Meanwhile Hurts hasn't thrown a pick through 2 preseason games so far.

So it’s a bad thing that our coach didn’t get duped into tipping his hand for a meaningless preseason game?  Huh…

St Juste looking good , big big fan of his coming out .

I've been saying it since last year. They built that defense well and added to the offense. They need a better QB but I see them taking the division

They're young too so they're going to be a problem for Eagles for a bit sadly

did anyone notice this during the game?

Chase has been having struggling with getting separation all through out the training camp per Cincinnati media. Apparently he is not also as fast as his 40 either....

Nayyyyy, they run by Danny Boi, and whatever Danny Boi touches turns to disaster.... 😂

Yep... Looked like he was piling on, couldn't tell that was that dirty from the TV angle, just late.

Merrill is so salty because he said Hurts should play 9 quarters of preseason

Yup, same here. Easily could've had him too. But nah, this team doesn't address immediate  needs and the secondary, "we're fine there".

Salty or not, Merrill is right though. Im a true believer in the old school method. Starters play 1Q game 1, 2Q game 2, 3Q game 3. The teams that usually go deep in the playoffs use that method still.

Not true. He wore white and might have sheet his pants.

He’s more right than the Eagles approach but not to the extent he’s taking it. It will also be interesting to see how coaches like Reid approach this last preseason game.
