Other downsides:

  • Different adrenaline levels,
  • crowd noise,
  • reacting to UNEXPECTED changes

The guy played in a national championship game as a freshman and came off the bench to win an SEC championship.

Maybe crowd noise, adrenaline and reacting to unexpected changes aren't things he needs to work on.

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

There is no tackling in joint practices.  There is no touching the QB.  That makes joint practices drastically different from games, even preseason games.

Preseason action matters for any first year offense under a new HC but especially one with a young QB.  With how the Eagles have conducted their ultra short no tackling training camps and hardly play anybody if at all preseason it has major potential to bite them in the ass early in the season with how unprepared and conditioned they will be.

Like libraries? So he’s only occasionally open?

Lol like it isn’t already

He needs a translator.

This makes me think of the story McAfee told about Collie making a one handed attempt and Manning benching him.

  • It's a controlled environment and they actually get to run more snaps than a game.
  • The offense doesn't have to get a first down to continue to run plays.
  • The offense and defense can get in work simultaneously against new looks on the other side.
  • They can dictate situations (red zone, two minute) without being beholden to the game flow.
  • It enables real-time coaching after each snap.

I would say the only downside would be less than full-speed contact/tackling.  But if your priority is health, then it is a compromise they're willing to make.

You just listed other reasons real games are important versus practice.

So we’ve learned that Reagor is the pat yourself on the back before you’ve done anything type.

It is what it is…if he can produce, his seemingly annoying personality will have an easier time flying under the radar.  But he’s got some Fredex to him.

Sirianni reiterated in his PC today that roster decisions on who makes the team will be "a group effort” between the coaches and front office.

Cute that he thinks he has a say.

They need to cut 3 more by Tuesday 4PM

I can’t even imagine how awful Fredex would be if he played during a time social media was wildly accessible

I remember Butch Davis couldn’t take the Browns to the Super Bowl, but he took the Brown to the sideline.

There’s a poop joke in here somewhere.  🤪

Now if only he had a QB on the roster who could consistently get him the ball

How about it's something every quarterback needs to work on

I guess, given the nature of most Eagles fans, it shouldn't surprise me much that some of you are burying Hurts before he gets a fair shake to see what he can do, with a real OL and real WRs... the overwhelming need, especially on this Board, to denigrate instead of just using your eyes for a reasonable time frame... SMH...
