Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

In 2017 the preseason Eagles overall looked mediocre, Mack Hollins looked like a star and fans wanted LeGarrette Blount cut and Byron Marshall to start.

You cant take anything from preseason at all. Even after the first couple of games you really cant tell how good or bad a team is going to be.

Byron marshall...

Yup and whose money?

Who is spending money to find out the amount of time eating a hot dog takes off ones life🤔???

No idea, but he probably throws up most of them. The math isn't crazy behind it. Eat 100,000 dogs and you lose like 6.5 years. You would have to eat 1 hot dog per day for like 273 years in a row to get close to it. Even if you have 10 each day, you would have to do that every day for 27 years. You would probably lose more than 6.5 years off your life doing that.

Depending on what kind of hot dog, totally worth it!

So in other words he pulled a Bacarty

TBF, most people don't want Kirk Cousins.

Easy. Average lifespan is about 72 years. So you forcefeed a guy hotdogs until he dies.  60x(72-age)/number of hotdogs eaten=minutes lost in life per hotdog.

Kirk Cousins is a good QB.

105 passer rating last year. 107 in 2019.

60 TDs to 19 INTs the last two years.

The Cousins hate is way overboard. He's pretty good.

Has anyone sat down and watched other pre-season games and thought that other teams just look lightyears ahead of the Eagles?

The Steelers rookies look fantastic.  The Browns appear to have great depth.  The Jets have a legit QB to build a team around.  The Redskins are a QB away from being a SB contender.  There are RB3 and RB4 all over the NFL I would take as RB2 here.

I know the Eagles are rebuilding but even in a rebuild there should be guys to be excited about.  So far all I have is the following....and it's a stretch:

-Milton Williams looks to be a force.

-Quez Watkins had a great TD and should have had another.

-Smith ran nice routes. (also injured twice already)

-Singleton makes a lot of tackles.

-Harris looks physical at safety.

-Elliot (pre injury) appears to be back on track.

I want to be positive and excited but I'm just not finding much.  For a team to put so much emphasis on the value of practice they sure were quick to side with the veterans and cancel OTA's.  I know I've harped on that a lot but it just doesn't make sense.  This team and this coaching staff need as much time on the field together as possible.

Do any of the WR other than Smith, Reagor and Watkins have a reception?  Even those 3 combined only have what 7 catches through 2 games?  None of them from Jalen Hurts btw.  Think about that.  It's possible that we go in to week 1 without Hurts completing a pass to a WR.  Is pre-season overrated?  Maybe, but I also think it's a case by case situation.  With a brand new staff and a new starting QB, I would think you want as much time on the field as possible.  You can't replicate live game action in joint practices when you aren't even tackling.

I think we're in for a long long year.

You’re judging this team based on two nothing games?

What is clear to me from what I’ve seen is that the team lacks depth. The starters look pretty good. A few injuries, however, and the wheels could come off.

And has never won anything.

He's a stat padder, nice guy, not a winner.

It's a team sport, and I never said he was great. People like to joke like he's terrible. It's not true. He's very good actually.

Go back to 2003 and remove the first two games when he had a thumb injury and couldn't grip the ball. Rest of the season he had similar numbers to 2004.

Then blew out his knee in 2005 and was never the same.

There you go with context. Can’t do that.

But he was 11th and 8th in points scored, which I believe I heard is the stat that matters most.

Kirk  Cousins is mediocre at best.

Anyone know Kirk's GPA in college?

Just like anything you post, you could always google it first.

Yeah he's not terrible , he consistently puts up empty stats his whole career.

The guy manages to put up good stats every year that rarely amount to winning anything substantial.

It's not like he's never had any weapons around him either.

He's just not a guy that moves the needle, he's just not clutch.

He seems like a nice guy, maybe a little too nice and that's why his teammates don't seem to respect him, at least according to the mad ramblings of an x teammate.
