This.  With all the college kids staying for another year, teams started scraping the barrel in the sixth and seventh round of the draft.

Next year will be unique to the other extreme.

That was one game and way beyond the norm. Why do you think we were all so upset? If they made a habit of letting DBs do that, then Al Harris would have been an All Pro and never traded away.

McNabb wasn't exactly stellar as a rookie, but it was widely accepted that he provided "a spark." McNabb started his NFL career by coming in for a play here or a series there. After more than halfway through a dismal season, he replaced the starting QB (Pederson) for the final weeks of the season. His accuracy wasn't wonderful and he gave up on some plays too early and chose to run. 

Honestly, I don't see how 2 players could have a rookie year so similar and find it odd that some here don't see it. A rookie season doesn't define what a player will become, but after each player's first season, it's like deja vu. As similar as their rookie seasons were, both QBs have differences. McNabb probably had the better arm. Hurts played in better college programs and is more advanced from a football IQ. Hurts is a more vocal, take command type of leader where McNabb was a quieter, lead-by-example guy. Physically as runners, I think they are about the same. McNabb was asked to fit into a WCO and Hurts will have an offense built more around his strengths, featuring RPOs.

From what some of the reporters are saying, Awosika is having a good camp. Priority UDFA with Stoll.  Wasn’t much of a year for UDFAs. Wasn’t a very deep year.
