Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

Let me guess.  There's a bad guy who almost kills Spiderman. But spider man shoots webs and defeats the bad guy. Until next time...

Yea I hate that I watched that also. But this trailer looks awesome. Was talking with friends and we all agree that hopefully there’s no trailer reveal of Tobey or Garfield, want the reveal to be in theaters

Lol

Even Dillard laughs at that.

I don't get the appeal of any of this Marvel stuff.

The two years after the SB, with Wentz at QB, Eagles scored 23 and 24 ppg. Last year down to 21 ppg, but that was a mess.

So if under Hurts, they match or exceed those numbers, he's doing fine - because that's the only stat that really matters for a QB.

Is doing fine your goal?

I don’t think "fine” has a great trophy closet.

Hurts only averaged 15 PPG in both though

Did the OC from the Chiefs, Bieniemy, actually want to go to Jacksonville?  I'm not so sure.  I think he's waiting for a real good situation to open up.

Urban Meyer still has the "college coach wants HIS guys at all costs" hubris. If any team is giving anything of value for the guys the Eagles would like to move, it's the Jags.

Btw, that offense is a complete clusterF.

Not a lot of Super Bowl winning on that list

Meyer being hired was a Snyder move from like 2002.

You know that’s been my thought on it as well. Everyone’s saying he’s not getting opportunity when reality is, he has a super cushy & fun job right now. He doesn’t have the pressure as a HC, gets to coach the best young QB in the game, a top 3 TE & WR, and a RB with bright future, while also learning/working with Big Red.

JFC.  Man, you’re out there with some of your takes.  Hurts is no McNabb.  How do you know that Hurts has a more advanced football IQ?  Just wanting to believe something doesn’t make it so.    What does it matter which program Hurts played in?  AJ McCarron played at Alabama.  Does that make him a better QB than Pat Mahomes?   Vince Young played at Texas.  Does that make him a better qb than Steve McNair?

McNabb was the 2nd overall pic.  Hurts was picked as a backup in the 2nd round, where a lot of people had him going in the 3rd.  McNabb was the franchise as soon as he was drafted.  Hurts is the place holder and obviously not as regarded by the Eagles brass, since they have flirted with trading for Watson and had interest in trading up for Zach Wilson. As a matter of fact.  There are no similarities between McNabb and Hurts at all.  Except for being a mobile qb for the Eagles.

Learn to read. I never said Hurts was McNabb. I said their rookie years were eerily similar. I pointed out that rookie seasons "don't define" a QB and then listed some notable differences between the two. You want so badly to show me up in a discussion that you don't even read what I really say.

Yes, McNabb was the 2nd player picked that year --- behind Tim Couch. There were several teams hoping to land a franchise QB with their 1st rd pick that year and out of what was thought to be the best QB class since 1983 only 1of the 5 ever earned the franchise label

Right now, I can't tell you how Hurts' career will go. All I can tell you is that he's trying a heckuva lot harder than Jamarcus Russell (1st pick, 1st round, 2007) to become something. I'm not sure if you expect me to piss and moan because Hurts wasn't more highly regarded in his draft class. I couldn't care less about where a player is drafted. Nobody thought much of Tom Brady entering the draft. Every team passed on Russell Wilson more than once. Drew Brees was a 2nd round pick that despite tremendous college production was questioned whether he was capable of producing outside of a spread offense. You may think you do, but you don't own the market on doubting a player's NFL success. About 90% of HOF induction speeches talk about that individual's doubters. We'll have to wait and see with Hurts if his effort pays off. Right now, I just appreciate his effort and will be rooting for him every game he's an Eagle.

Better than flying into Newark Airport — perhaps the worst airport I’ve ever been in.

What exactly makes an airport good or bad in your opinion?

The top 2 combine for 4 rings. I guess you gotta climb to the top of that list to make it pay off.

Are we counting Young's rings while sitting behind Montana?  If so... sure... 4.  Otherwise, only 2.  And I wonder if any rings came in the year they accomplished that meaningless stat.

Long story short, the long history of the NFL says, if the QB has to rely on his legs to win games, that style quickly loses effectiveness in the playoffs.

For the food enthusiasts

I saw this article yesterday. It also stated that the third worst thing you could eat (behind hot dogs and lunchmeat) are egg sandwiches. No way that can be true... right?

It also said that candy is good for you and that eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are better for you than eating fish or basically anything else.

This list has silly time written all over it.
