The Darkest Hour.  Now hear me out.  There wasn’t any action in the movie.  Obviously it was crunch time for Churchill and the Brits, so the plot was sudden and interesting.  But the actual movie script has zero action.  But damn was that a good movie.  Mostly because of the acting.   I’ll say I think it’s one of the best movies I’ve seen in the last 20 years.  Dunkirk was the same story told from a different perspective and was mostly all action, little dialogue.   And it was nowhere near as good as Darkest Hour.  

Absolutely.   A Great movie.  Great performance by Gary Oldman as well.

I accidentally watched John Wick 2 first, and in some respects, it made the first film more enjoyable when I watched it.  The 3rd one was silly though.

For those that don't mind reading subtitles this French film called A Prophet is very much worth watching.  About this young Arab who goes to French prison but isn't religious or connected to any gang or group.  Starts to become connected in jail while working all sides.   Best prison movie I've seen and overall a really good crime movie as well.  Very violent at a few parts.  While it does start out in prison the entire film does not take place in prison.
