Could be - but my understanding is that myocarditis is more of a post-COVID condition.  Perhaps being low on oxygen simply caused him to pass out, but from what I've heard it's typically not that sudden.

I think Hurts needs to play.  I will reserve judgment if he doesn't play but if they suck against Atlanta's awful defense it will say a lot about not playing him in the pre-season.

I am not sure that Gainwell has anything close to the quickness of Shady. At Gainwell’s pro day, he ran a 4.46 short shuttle and a 7.26 three cone.  That doesn’t suggest quickness and certainly not "cut on a dime”.  Shady put up a 4.18 SS and a 6.82 3 cone.  Sorry to harp on these specific workouts in shorts results but they do suggest quickness.  Shady’s quickness was world class.  Now some may argue that Gainwell is faster.  4.47 to 4.5 isn’t that much faster than Shady.   Don’t get me wrong.  I liked the value of Gainwell in the fifth. But as a replacement for Sanders as a workhorse back, I am not buying based on one season at Memphis.  

Shady came in at 211 as a rookie.  He looks a bit more bulked up so I guessed at 215 but I will give that four pounds.

It's hard to over-blow being a small guy in a big man's game...  hopefully they've taught him that out-of-bounds and hitting the dirt are reasonable choices...

I love die hard but i also love home alone and elf (and I’m not a huge will Ferrell fan besides that movie and step brothers) as Christmas classics. I like him Carey’s grinch but some people absolutely love it. I can’t say that.

He needs the reps, one cant keep him in bubble wrap all pre season for fear of injury, at some point he's going to have to take some reps and hits, football is a rough sport.

Now if hurts cones out week 1 and lights it up all the talk about him not getting pre season will disappear, but if he comes out rusty the media and fans are going to be talking about his lack of pre season reps until he plays well 

Maybe the coaches figure if he doesn't play in pre season then if he sucks they can say well he just needs more reps instead of  saying he just  sucks, sounds like a Howie move...

When do the Eagles announce their starting QB? They've had us on pins and needles for far too long.

I imagine we are part of a Howie expirement.  They don't plan on contending this season.  4 seasons straight of heavy injuries.  I think they are going in the drastic direction of ultra short practices with no tackling and extremely limited exposure of starters to preseason to see if it helps with the team staying healthy and also to see what negative side effects there will be for sloppiness and preparedness heading into the season. 

 

I doubt any starters play Friday.

They don't want any film on him to keep his tendencies hidden.  That way he will surprise ATL when he runs after his first read is covered.
