Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

Did you see preseason game 2 ??  This is way more entertaining.

I don’t think getting lucky on a bunch of free agents, losing multiple starters to injury, your back up quarterback getting hot at the right time, and giving up the most passing yards in the history of the Super Bowl to the greatest quarterback to ever play, is a recipe I would try and duplicate

Multiple reports they tried to fire him after his first year, and replace him with Jim Schwartz.

Uh-huh...  so, they lucked into a Super Bowl, and now we're back to scorching them because, well, that's yesterday's news...

That's a damn shame, since that Super Bowl win was prob the highlight of my 50+ years of being a Philadelphia sports fan...  had no idea it was a sham...  oh well...

Not saying it was a sham, and it’s awesome.  But it is not a recipe you can duplicate, and the seeds were planted to get to this point  the same year.

Bad extensions and horrible drafts that not many noticed during the celebration.

Keep living in denial and trying to speak it out of existence.  I have been "Mr Told You So” for years on Howie and Lurie.  And guess what….I’ll continue to do so.

I went for a sunset cruise on the Nile a couple summers ago.   Beautiful way to spend an hour.  So peaceful, so calm... and surrounded by so much history.

Nice place to visit, but I don't think I'd want to live there.

I was waiting for this...  on that note, I think I'll go watch the paint dry in the kitchen for a while...  then maybe trow some ants into the spider web in the corner of the pantry...  something relaxing...

They tried to fire Doug? Did Doug say no and refuse to leave his office or something?

Man, you're a combative son-of-a-gun...  I'm not pretending at anything...  just trying to figure out your perspective...

So, you don't think they meddled with Doug?  This is all post-Super Bowl?

Might help you to know 4for4 used to be West_PA…. The guy with the animated a avatar of the guy flipping and pooping in a toilet.  Don’t worry, you will soon be on his ignore list as I am.

On my bucket list.  I speak Canadian really well.

Tomorrow is going to help with the withdrawal

Didn't an article just come out that Howie is generally considered the biggest sneak of a GM in the NFL? Havent his drafts been terrible? Aren't we in a poor position with cap by continuing to kick the can down the road?

Defending him at this point is laughable. Thanks for 2017, but it's time to go.

It wasn't real, just like the moon landing(s).

I think he should be gone too. But using nonsense like we couldn’t hire Dennis effing Allen because Howie and Lurie couldn’t handle his clout is a bridge too far.

I doubt there are a lot of Howie fans on here.  That was an agent survey published by The Athletic.  I posted their opinions on people ascending that might be GM candidates. Now I do take that list with a grain of salt because agents represent those people too.

You know who Doug’s choices were though, right?

Nobody said it wasn’t real or awesome. But the fact that we’re here now, means it was a flawed plan that you couldn’t duplicate. I would rather have sustained success than a flash in the pan.

Hope I am wrong but I am seeing a 6-11 season.

FYI....

I'll open the Regular Season Blog after the roster settles down next week (cuts, waiver claims, trades, etc.).

We are better off keeping the Howie-Anon conspiracy theories within this opus of common sense and community.

Jerry Jones must be a good GM, because he won the Super Bowl once upon a time. Doesn't matter that the team is consistently overrated and hasn't won jack recently. It's okay because he won a Super Bowl (well, three) He's a Super Bowl winning GM.

TATE logic.

Yeah, it's interesting...  was never a Howie fan to begin with... this all started, for me, defending Sirianni's chance to prove himself without getting labeled as the inexperienced "yes man"...

Haha.  Yeah I have that blow hard on ignore.  I do that with morons.  I guess you didn’t like my response explaining my reasoning for not trusting Lowie post 2017.  But yeah. Guilty.  Far be it from me to have fun on a message board.  And it was a decade ago.  You can be offended  as crotchety like that guy.

Yet you don’t have Bacarty on ignore.   Says a lot about your judgment.  I would say you are the 2021 version of Doug but that would be an insult to Doug’s football knowledge.
