Of course.  Discussions evolve.  .  I posted a roster projection a little while ago, and listed Ward as a PS candidate rather than being on the roster, so that the Eagles could claim some other WRs from teams and check them out.  So, my discussion focused on that aspect of the discussion you and e45 were having.

Probably didn’t display Rodgers because they know what he is and they want to do a cut and resign after the first game.  If Stoll made the roster it would only be to hold his place. I think Jackson does that.

Funny you mention that.  It stuck out like a sore thumb to me.  Michel looked like a natural return man, whereas Ward let yet another punt hit the ground.  He looked OK on the WR screens they drew up for him too.  Could he sneak it to WR6?  I don't know if he's every been used as a gunner on punts but if he can offer ST and some wiggle when in, I would take that over Ward, Fulgham and JJAW any day of the week.

But he doesn’t run a sub 4.3 and any WR not fast is a waste to E45.  When they needed a reception to start the two minute drill last night they trotted out Ward and got a quick ten yards.  

Eagles not being discussed in latest Watson rumors is suspicious. Makes me feel like they are the ones who end up with him. Something is brewing.

Especially since Hurts hasn’t been named starter yet.

Could you imagine after all the talk, discussions, arguing about Hurts, if we go into week 1 with Minshew as the starter, Flacco as the back up, and a suspended Watson on the roster.

Maybe that's why they didn't want to risk him to injury....they know they are getting Watson and couldn't risk Hurts getting a season ending injury which would kill his trade value that the Eagles clearly think he has.

It's a fun theory to think about but with the addition of Minshew and having Flacco, I think Hurts is their guy.

That makes EVEN MORE sense now.  They know they are getting Watson, but they also know he's going to be suspended so they couldn't have Flacco being backed up by Mullens.  Minshew is the Flacco backup until Watson comes back.

It all comes together.

I would think Flacco is the Minshew back up.

But,  It does seem odd this happens right after Flacco looked really good last night. Maybe they needed Flacco to sell them on the idea he can look good enough to keep them afloat this year to put it into motion.

They have never really committed to him, and still not naming him starter confirms that.

The newest Rumor is just the Texans pushing other teams like the Eagles to call and up their offers.
