I still find it hard to believe the panthers are really in it for watson. I know florio said it made the most sense i think t makes less when darnold has looked good so far and Watson’s legal issues plus the capital they gave up to get darnold. I think it Made More sense if they kept bridgewater and didn’t make the darnold move 

i think it came down to the eagles and Dolphins. Watson likely didn’t really want to come here. So it put a wrench into the eagles plans to deal for him. Meanwhile the Dolphins aren’t coming close to the asking price of the Texans knowing they’d basically be bidding against themselves since he didn’t want to come here. Texans use this avenue to try to drum up more interest and up the ante from miami. As well as i think the realization that they might end up with nothing if they wait with the legal issues at hand

That is the ultimate depressing thought. If that happens I’m not sure how long it takes for the eagles to recover from that. I know nfl there’s a quicker turnaround but that feels like you might just be in a really bad spot for more than just a season or two. 

How dumb is Dallas to not just give a 5th outright for Minshew? They really are going to stick with Gilbert or DeNucci?

One option may be to keep Huntley as the 4th and then sign Howard a couple days later as the thought is no team is going to sign him as he said zero teams other than the eagles showed any interest when was signed.

Then one could safely put Huntley on PS or just keep them both once the roster is settled post cuts with IR and PS designations.

I expect they'll go this route and keep Huntley cut Howard then re sign Howard a couple days later.

The fact Howard did not dress yesterday and was not injured clearly shows he made this team. he also had a better camp then Sanders. It will be between Scott and Huntley. Huntley was shown as injured yesterday which tells me hes on the outs and if clears waivers he will go on IR.

I wouldn’t automatically assume that lions game up as a win. The eagles seemingly since 2015 always find ways to lose to the lions 

I commented earlier about Dillard's set being deeper. Look at these two shots. Sorry about the darker screen. In the first shot, note his quickness. The ball was placed at the 24. He's made his drop while everyone else is barely off the ball, if they're off at all.

He's made his full set at the 20. By contrast, Driscoll is a full two yards further upfield at the 22.

 Clearly, Stoutland has modified Dillard's set, just as earlier he modified Seumalo's. One size does not fit all and it just goes to show what a great coach Stoutland is. A couple of things about this deeper set. First off, if the timing is sluggish, the DE will get into Dillard while he is still moving backwards and Dillard will have no leverage. The result? He gets trucked. That's the bad. But second, if he gets into his set timely, he can drop his hips and drive his punch. Time and again in the first half he did this, jolting the DE and then resetting, ready to jolt the DE again.

I think all those reports of him getting trucked in practice were part of the growing pains and developing this technique. I could be wrong, of course, but that's the way it looks to me. Dillard is extremely quick, as Stout has commented on several times.  Because of this quickness, he can modify his set, and he has.

Of course... but I have them with 5 wins as the prediction... so they need to win 5 against someone.  More than likely they find a way to beat the Bucs and lose to the Cowpukes twice or something.   I'd give the Jets a win, but the Eagles have never lost to the Jets in regular season.
