Hurts is either the starter next year , or he is not on the team , it is shaping up to be a really good QB class next year , They won’t demote Hurts if he has a bad year  , he would be gone and it would be Minshew and a rookie , IMO .

Yeah i don’t know how anyone can say the eagles are fully committed to hurts at the moment. They’ve tried to deal to move up to get Wilson. Been linked to russell Wilson when that rumor was out there. And been linked to watson. Hurts future here depends on how he performs this year 

I'd trade Sanders to the Ravens if they'd give up a 1st or a couple 2nds, but don't think Baltimore would do that.

I think it mediates against playing the starters much, if at all. I think it’s new territory for coaches. Andy, the old head, played his starters well into Q2. Sirianni didn’t play them at all. Another thing: we all know our depth is suspect, to put it kindly. How do you build depth, given the 90 guys you’re have to work with? One obvious answer is to play the second and third teamers, give them the game reps. We got some positive answers - Dillard, Driscoll, Hilton, Williams, Epps, Gainwell, probably some others. And we got other answers too. Our backup to Flacco sucked. . .so we got another QB, for a song, as it turned out. This done by the GM who’s been so vilified, especially in here.

A 2nd and day 3 pick I think is realistic and I’d certainly consider it.

It’s roughly the same amount of time if there was a 4th preseason game. And traditionally all the starters would get the most work in the 3rd game and sit the 4th.

One good move to upgrade the 3rd QB doesn't negate the long list of failed moves made over the past 3 years.   Not everything he's done has been a bad move, but the bad outweighs the good by a wide margin over that span of time, which is a major contributor to why this team finished last in a putrid division last year, has a new HC, new QB, etc.  I would have preferred to see a whole new fresh start.  Oh well.

The Eagles gambled a 2nd for him, the gamble succeeded and you would consider trading that success for a bit of a better pick to gamble again?
