Wouldn’t be surprised if kerryon Johnson gets a workout with the ravens

Eagles and Ravens used to have a solid trade relationship.  Would you take a 4th for Scott?

They have some CB, S and WR I'd be interested in in a player swap.

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

2 years of rookie contract control for a proven starting rb who is not elite.

Not sure what the going rate would be for that these days.  I don’t think it’s any more than a 2.

I think to trade Scott it would depend a lot on how the eagles feel about Huntley and trusting him. Would love to get some corner, s or wr depth

Hurts is either the starter next year , or he is not on the team , it is shaping up to be a really good QB class next year , They won’t demote Hurts if he has a bad year  , he would be gone and it would be Minshew and a rookie , IMO .

I don't watch college ball. Any generational talent?

Generational...no.  Solid prospects yes.  There's always going to be the 2-3 guys who come out of nowhere too.

What do we consider a generational talent? Like luck. That i don’t see. But then again josh Allen and mahomes weren’t considered generational when they came out. Good prospects though but not on the same level as when luck or Peyton came out.

What?  Who is Steve?

The Titans have drafted Kristian Fulton, Elijah Molden and the wildcard in Caleb Farely over the last 2 years.  They could have 3 lockdown CB, all young.  Really wish the Eagles were better at drafting CB.

We are going to get the QB equivalent of if Jalen Hurts and Carson Wentz had a baby. And there’s a specific prospect I’m referring to. Book it.

Buddy of mine was the high school coach of Spencer Rattler, same guy that also coached Alejandro Villaneuva.

Lol, there is an actual guy in the upcoming draft that fits that description and it would be the ultimate Howie move

Your buddy must have some patience. Ever since QB1 on Netflix, Rattler has done nothing but come off like a complete d-bag.  Dude needs to grow up but he's the poster boy of this new generation of football players.  Starred on Netflix, has his NIL now.  I don't want anything to do with him.

Should monitor Le’veon bell. They might take a look at him.

Justin Fields might be that guy to be honest. (Hurts-Wentz combo)

Yes, my mistake, the thought is keeping Huntley on the original 53 then when other teams rosters and PS settle one cuts him as the chances he is signed by another team at that poi t decrease.

Where as if one were to cut Howard no one is going to sign him then once rosters are settled cut Huntley then resign him to PS when there's a greater chance he goes unclaimed

The lions cut Huntley at last cut downs hoping he would clear waivers and make it to the PS and the eagles claimed him almost immediately.

Seems the week of last cut downs is almost like another march FA period as many teams will scour the waiver wire for players to add to their team.

Huntley has a higher chance of getting claimed than Howard so why not keep Huntley cut Howard then when the free agent feeding frenzy is over bring Howard back and cut Huntley hoping teams rosters and PS are more set and he'll clear waivers.

Either way losing either isn't that big if a deal neither are going to be guys that the eagles let go and turned into all pros, and Huntley has a higher ceiling than Howard who is what he is

There is little advantage to cutting Howard unless they don’t want him at all.  He is making the vet minimum. Yes, as a vested player that becomes guaranteed for the season but if they plan on keeping him, then the impact is the same. For example, I think the idea with cutting Rodgers for the first week is that when Jackson can come off IR that gives them the option to cut Rodgers and replace him with Jackson, saving the remainder of Rodgers salary as vested veteran.

Now, I do expect the Eagles to weigh there options between Howard and Huntley.  For example:

Huntley -

Pros. Fast, can KOR, may hit some home runs, second year on four year fifth round contract

Cons. Inexperience, outside runner in NFL with little showing between the tackles. What he offers as pros are offered by Scott and Gainwell, with poorer hands. Bad Pass Pro. Smallish.

Howard

Pros. Experience in the NFL and has produced.  Can pound the rock and help run the clock.  Good pass pro. Can run between the tackle. Decent speed at 4.59 for a 222 lb one step back. Protector experience on ST KOR

Cons  Despite being a big back, not a good short yardage back.  Awful 2020. One year rental at league minimum. Mediocre as a pass threat. Well worn.

Now if they think Scott and Gainwell can run well enough to run out the clock, especially if Boobie gets banged up, they might take a shot on Huntley but with his injury and lack of playing time this preseason, I think he is destined for the PS or IR.

Did I really read one poster said he would trade Sanders to the Ravens is they gave a 1st or multiple 2nds?  And Boston Scott for a 4th? Where do these people come up with these values, lol.

Tbh out of all the qbs coming out in 2022 i really like Desmond ridder of cincy. Good size, good athleticism and good arm. Needs to keep improving his accuracy like last year where he saw a big jump.

Fulton was my choice for Eagles in 2020 when we took Hurts

That would almost be funny.  If Carson truly was threatened by Hurts, how is he going to react to Super Bowl MVP Flacco?
