Can't wait for Saturday!!  Gonna be some good college football games.

Sucks that summer is almost over but who cares....football is back.

Not for those of us that hate summer with a passion... comes from living in and around southern NJ shore communities...

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

Does anyone know the answer to this?  This is purely hypothetical because no one would give the Eagles a 2nd for Dillard but can conditions of a trade be changed post-trade?

The pick the Eagles have for Wentz is the Colts 2nd as of now correct?  So essentially, the Colts still do have their 2022 1st round pick.  If the going rate for Dillard was a 2nd, could the Eagles say, change the conditions of the Wentz trade and just make it the 1st round pick and give us the 2nd for Dillard?

-or-

Are both the Colts 1st and 2nd round picks semi off limits as of now.  They can't trade their 2022 1st because there's a chance it could be the Eagles due to the trade...but they technically don't have a 2nd now because it's the Eagles pick so that pick can't be traded.

Could the Eagles send Dillard and the Colts 2nd back for a guaranteed 1st plus a 3rd?

*disclaimer.  I'm not suggesting any of these values to be correct, just trying to figure out the rules of conditional trades and how that effects the picks that are in play.

Id say your a pretty big minority there. I love the winter very much, esp out in Colorado and Utah areas for snowboarding. But summer is pretty fun and will be missed. Yes I am from the South Jersey area and own a shore home in Ocean City like yourself. So I know how crazy it gets and the mass of people etc. You just seam like a bitter old Grinch right now, lol. You just must not be a people person, lol. You hate going to the games as well cause there is too many in the crowd?

Then Wentz plays 70% of the snaps, Colts go to the playoffs, and Dillard is traded for absolutely nothing in return.  Brilliant

Nope, I think we will get the first anyways. If they want Dillard, they need to pay extra for him.

Buying insurance is still a good idea, even if you don't need it.

Black, after silver, is the hardest color to match after an accident because it fades in a way that is hard to match.  Keeping the cars in a garage helps. Grey is easier to keep up.  That said, I didn’t keep my wife from purchasing a black Pilot.  I suspect she won’t duplicate the color in the future.  Black also absorbs heat worse than other colors.

I have a black h3 2006 , 38,000 miles , another one that stays in my garage , it gets dirty just sitting there

Yea, that would be a bad move.  With our luck, Wentz would hit all of the previous trade parameters that would have made it a 1st round pick to begin with.

Just answering bpac's question on if it's possible

That’s not insurance nor is it a good idea.

How short people’s memories are.  14 different OL combinations last season, Eagles win 4 games (could have been 1) ….. let’s trade OL away for nothing.

Can’t even make this stuff up.

Understood.  Not going after you; directed as the authors of the tweets (not even sure they’re putting it out there as a good idea, just postulating)

Dillard is suddenly too valuable to let go? LOL. The guy people were talking about maybe not even making the roster?

I'd do that trade in a second to guarantee 3 first round picks. Wentz can't stay healthy as it is, but now he doesn't have a LT. Make the deal.

Sure is the way Wentz goes down.

What will they get a 5th or a 6th for Dillard? When Wentz goes down they won't be able to trade up 32 spots from the Colts second round pick into the first with that 5th/6th. He sucks. Make the deal. If Wentz stays healthy all year and they got nothing for him I will not care. Lock up three firsts.

If Wentz does go down that could be a very nice pick.

Eh, Dillard still has a lot more to prove. He's still a pain in the ass from a roster management perspective (deciding whether to activate a LT only) and he's overaged for a developmental player.

By all accounts from the people who know and watch OL play in here, Dillard played well against the Jets.

If they’re wrong, and you’re right — there is no deal to be made.  Other teams don’t trade anything of value for players you think "suck”.  That factoid always escapes some folks.

Being retired with adult children, May before Memorial Day and September after Labor Day are my favorite times to travel. Probably October and April are next in line.  Less crowds. Temperate weather.  Absolutely the best time to camp.

But driving day to day dealing with tourists in beach towns is a real pain in the summer, so I don’t chalk that up Veej being a "bitter old Grinch”.  My wife grew up in Galveston.  When we were dating and first got married, it was a pain to visit her folks on weekends.  What should be a five minute trip to the grocery store took thirty minutes.  And we knew the back ways to get places.  There were places we knew we couldn’t go to in the summer.  Certain stores that you couldn’t get out of the parking lot or couldn’t cross traffic to access.  Restaurants we would walk in to eat at the rest of the year that had ridiculous lines.  Her parents moved when they retired because they were tired of battling the tourists.  It is worse now that it was in the ‘80s.  We visit beaches now off-season and especially on weekdays.  We can actually stroll on the sand and hear the ocean.  Owning a shore house, you kind of expect tourist traffic in the summer but is that your permanent home so you deal with it 24/7 for three months?

Games are different than day to day hassles. You expect the traffic and allow for it.
