As much as I hate Ertz's RAC ability, talk about a gorgeous route runner.

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

I kind of hope they pick up Breshad Perriman.  He has size and speed and is only 27.

The fact that he couldn't nail down a spot in Detroit, who has one of the weakest WR groups out there, is a big red flag.

I'm telling you is false that stamina is not going to be an issue over the course of the game early in the season.  You act like players never get gassed over the course of a game. These are not conditioned to play a full game based on how lightly and a shortly they have practiced this summer.

I think you're not understanding of the stamina needed for a full game.  Full games require less stamina than practice.  There's simply less physical activity in games than even in an hour long practice.  It's likely not even close.  You just have a misconception that is leading to the conclusion.

Lions have absolutely nothing except a tight end that is decent. On both sides of the ball.

YAY!  Prediction.  Both are here for 2021, neither are here in 2022.  Howie overplayed his cards with Ertz and DG doesn't want to be the first of the next line of big tight end pay days betting that he can hit it big in FA.

It probably wouldn’t have hurt him to proof read it

Hurts is so good he's completing passes to himself.

Who was that dope in here pumping up Holyfield this past weekend?  Speaking of "camp body".

I think I saw someone in another thread pisses off that he was gone and that they didn't bother trying to at least get something in a trade for him lol. Like wtf

Yikes

Right guy was trying to talk our ear off about Holyfield….

He had a hip injury and then wasn't that impressive when he came back.  I just think he's a decent vet that would be an upgrade of JJAW potentially.

The Rams cut safety Paris Ford.  He was once thought to be one of the top safety prospects...then he had one of the worst pro days I've ever heard of.  I'm guessing he was a great college player just not cut out for the NFL.

For a team that had one of the thinnest linebacker corps in recent memory during the 2020 season, the idea that any team would be interested in poaching some depth LBs from the Eagles just eight months later is pretty wild. But Sports Illustrated insider Albert Breer reports that's exactly what's happening:

"The Eagles are another team taking calls on offensive linemen — their issues of the last few years staying healthy up front have actually created a situation where they have experienced backups. Philly’s also discussed dealing away some linebacker depth."

Did Howie write this article?

The bidding war for JaCoby Stevens is going to be intense.

Teams wanting the Eagles LBs? What a time to be alive...

Could just be Avery who Caplan already mentioned had 2 teams interested in him

@Iggles_Phan

My W-L prediction.

Their first 9 games are a tough run.  Home games vs very good teams and road games vs teams of good enough quality to hang an L on them.  Plus no bye until Week 14.  I think a lot of it depends on how Hurts plays and how the D comes together.  And pulling off a W in ATL could help them through those first 9 games better where an L and it could start a domino effect of losses.  I think we might be looking at 2-7 after the first 9 games.  Last 8 games look to be easier, with 5 being division games.  I think the D will get better as the season goes on as I don't see this DC just doing the Gym Shortz "wash, rinse, repeat" scheme we all had to watch.  So that leaves it down to QB play.  I'm in wait and see mode on Hurts, though will admit that I'm not optimistic.  So figure in a good case scenario he plays OK and they struggle with the tough schedule on the front end then win some games on the back end with the easier schedule.  Or bad case scenario, he looks pretty much the same 2020 Hurts and they struggle early then turn to Minshew who comes in and wins some games on the back end.

I think either way we're looking at 6-11.

I'm not real confident about Hurts, don't like the lack of practices (18 in 28 days) and starters barely playing in PS, plus players having to get used to new schemes which will impart some growing pains early on.  So for now I don't see more than 6 wins this season.

Not sure who would want Avery right now.  He has injuries to both groins which wouldn't surprise me to hear if he has a hernia soon enough.  But, if someone offers anything for him, they're dumb not to take it.

That’s "can’t miss player” that a bunch here were dying to spend our 6th overall pick on 😉

Toth played LG against the Jets and played it well. He's a keeper.

Id be willing to bet by the end of the year he’s much better than right now. He legitimately hasnt had major team activities (besides limited OTAs) or played in a meaningful game since January 2020. Anyone suspecting he’d not need time to adjust after a year and a half basically just training but no actual game activity was fooling themselves. Lance is having severe accuracy issues and only played 1 game in a year and a half. He is at 46 percent in the preseason. He’s not that bad with accuracy either.

Agreed. Despite his age (25), I think there's upside given he was in the military academy.

So you’ve come to a conclusion based on ore-season games in his rookie season?

Don’t worry JJaw was gonna be a stud when he had that 8 reception 104 yard performance against the ravens in the preseason of his rookie year.
