I'm not against that. It's a perfectly fair and rational thought.

I'm talking about the people that are quick to yell "Hater! You want him to fail! You're making those stats up!" when you point something out (like his inability thus far to read the field or his poor completion percentage) that's a fair criticism.

I'm talking about when someone makes a list of all QB snaps in preseason and someone soaks their shirt with tears because we didn't talk about Jalen's sick tummy.

There is a group of posters here who defend this guy as if he's Tom Brady and won us 7 rings.

I've seen them. At least those two had actually proven something before people went overboard.

I think people are just really nervous about Hurts not working out and then go on a 10 year drought of sheety QBs. No one wants that.

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

There's a whole range of poster-types here on the boards...  you're always going to get every possible range of reaction to a given topic...  I try to ignore the fringe...

I’m really looking forward to the all out anchorman type of battle one day between the wentz washers, hurts huggers, minshew maniacs, folesian society, Flacco flockers, sudfeld studs and even bringing back the knobs for kolb, Sammy sleeves and worm burners

We are Eagles fans.  We are:

1. Going to **** (complain that rhymes with ditch) and moan about the Eagles starting QB.

2. Love the back up until inserted in the lineup and then see #1 above.

3.Get over excited when a sub plays because the other team lacks film on the player and the coach schemes the plays for that player, until the other team gets film on the player, then see #1 above.

With the soft, Kumbaya approach to training camp and pre season games the Eagles chose this year, I wonder what effect it has on the conditioning of the players.

1. Will they be fresh midway through the 3rd quarter and onward due to saving their energy, or....
2. Will they be gassed by then, due to NOT training hard and not being in NFL playing shape and condition?

I'll be watching that to see what happens.

How many minutes of a game do you think NFL players are actually physically engaged  so that their conditioning matters?

No one wants that. I agree.

There are some that have a bad case of Hurtspes though.

Has Clark done enough since he returned from injury to beat out guys like Toth, etc? Hope so, liked that signing.

I think the 10th OL spot is probably between Toth, Pryor, Opeta & Clarke...  I"d vote for Toth, but he also is easiest to just move to the PS... I'd vote least for Opeta, from what I've seen, but it hasn't exactly been an in-depth analysis...

He was reporting on a column from a Colts reporter.  The article he linked to was behind a paywall so I didn't get to read the actual report.

It was a Colts reporter.

I think Toth has outside versatility that Opeta and Pryor do not have.

Same, but he did have a couple of quotes from the Star article that were pretty harsh.

What mistake?

So the surgery didn't fix it? So do we know who the RT will be when Lane eventually goes down?

What leftover injury is Ertz dealing with?

It's probably never going to be fully 100% at this point.

Ertz had a high ankle sprain last year, so probably related to that. Those things can linger.

Toth has been claimed on waivers the two times he was released and presumably targeted to be brought back to his team's practice squad. So I'm not sure I can agree with that assertion.

And the last time we tried to move Toth to the PS, he was claimed.

If I'm not mistaken, and I could be, they've used Pryor outside... he listed as a G/T...

Didn't know that...  so, Toth is my 10th then... 👍

Oh i 100 percent agree.

Ive talked about earlier this offseason since mcnabb left the eagles have had some good individual years of QB play. Like Vick in 2010. Foles in 2013. Wentz/foles in 2017. The most consistent QB play they’ve had was 2017-19. I’d argue wentz’s 2018 numbers aren’t indicative of how he played. His 21-7 on the surface looks better than if you watched how the offense functioned (granted tends to happen when smallwood and Adams are lead backs for a good portion of the season, wentz coming off an ACL with a back fracture). His 2019 was up and down to start the got hot the last 5 weeks.

we thought we were getting franchise QBs when we gave Vick $100 mil, he was never at the height he was in 2010 after being paid. Foles got injured in 2014 and traded. Bradford wasn’t very good. Wentz we thought and paid and turned out in the end not being that long term answer. I really hope hurts becomes that so we don’t have to keep searching. however if he doesn’t i don’t think it’s a given we just find that long term consistency guy right away even if we draft one high.

From what I saw of Wilson, I would agree.  I have a suspicion the skewed turnover ratio from last year is going to be a thing of the past.

Geez, Driscoll isn’t good enough as a back up RT?  You also have the possibility of Dillard starting at LT and Mailata jumping to RT.   And one of Toth or Clark are likely to make the team.  In a pinch, Seumalo can play OT. Possibly Dickerson too. And Awosika on the PS can play RT.  Think we don’t need a waiver pickup for that spot.

IMHO, Driscoll should be the back-up RT.  No need to rush Dickerson back and give him time to get healthy and strong.  Toth and/or Clark backup the OT position.  Awosika on PS is about right.  Dillard has some ability, but he can only play LT.  Trading him is the likely outcome.

I liked the Wilson signing as well. Mostly just laughing at the quote implying he could be the most improved because he plays catch with himself

Let's see how long that lasts.

I don't want that but, I still don't think Hurts is going to be any good lol.

Not shocking. I think they tried to get a bigger market going with the leaks this weekend. It didn’t work. Plus i think teams don’t want to make a deal with Watson’s legal status. More willing to see how darnold, Tua do this year and see plus see where the legal issues are closer to the offseason.
