Ok.  So why is he ripping him apart?  Because he got Covid?  Again.   Why?

I think it’s cause he is not vaccinated and has to be out for 5 days minimum. but really he also probably should talk about Darius Leonard cause every colts fan is saying he’s also not vaccinated (don’t know if they are correct but their fans seem to think he’s not)

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

Not shocking. I think they tried to get a bigger market going with the leaks this weekend. It didn’t work. Plus i think teams don’t want to make a deal with Watson’s legal status and see how darnold, Tua do this year and see plus see where the legal issues are closer to the offseason.

Agree.  No team will trade multiple firsts for Watson now, but as time goes on and perhaps a Tua or a Hurts becomes more known, the desire to do that trade diminishes - or failing and taking a rookie QB instead.  With a no trade clause in place, they've effectively minimised the market available.

These were the quotes:

Wentz comes into our town, he’s handed all this money and prominence, and makes the decision to ignore the science and the numbers and the logic. He’s apparently not vaccinated. He won’t say either way – deep down, I bet he knows he’s being selfish – but he always wears a mask on the practice field and sideline, which is the NFL protocol for unvaccinated players. He’s not the only prominent Colts player wearing a mask, sadly. Most of the starting offensive line is masked up as well, including Quenton Nelson, Ryan Kelly and Eric Fisher.

...

Imagine the Colts moving on from injured $128 million quarterback Carson Wentz before he’s played a game here.

That’s fun, right? You can’t tell me that’s not fun. Over the next four years, as their Super Bowl window creaks open, the Colts would be so much better off with Eason at quarterback than Wentz for financial reasons. The 2021 season would be strange, I’ll give you that. Wentz is on the hook for a $20.4 million salary-cap hit in 2021. But this is the NFL, and there’s always a half-dozen teams looking for an upgrade at quarterback. Maybe the Colts decide Ehlinger is good enough to be the backup this season, and trade Wentz to get rid of that salary.

Maybe this is all nonsense.

A guy can hope, right? And make no mistake, this is my hope: That Jacob Eason is so good – Sam Ehlinger, too – the Colts get rid of Carson Wentz.

They said their is one other big time player not vaccinated... So look who is wearing a mask and you will know. 4 of their 5 lineman aren't vaccinated either. That team will implode sooner then later if that's the case.

Oh if tua and darnold play well it eliminates two of the teams watson was wanting to go to. Before all the legal issues it was the Broncos, niners, Miami and Carolina. With the niners getting Lance they are out. If tua and darnold play well then those two organizations could be out and not want to deal with the legal issues and fan base unrest. Down to the Broncos who’ve been more linked to going after rodgers.

if darnold and tua play very well he’s going to have reconsider some of the places he’s willing to go to.

Again. Vaccination doesn’t keep from testing positive.

What. Are you an Ertz fanboy?  Guy sucks.  He needs to go.  I’d still take a 6th for him.  Maybe he can go to KC where Andy can make him a good TE. Andy is the goat of TE coaches.

Colts writers are from Philly?

Lol. I just think he’s more than a worthless 6th Rd pick.

I don’t disagree. I think it’s ridiculous that people think you can’t get if you are vaccinated. I’m guessing Doyle believes wentz is unvaccinated and that’s why he called him selfish.

Boston Scott getting guys fired

Let's see how long that lasts.

The whole situation is a mess but his trade value is at a low point. They aren't going to get anything of value this season for him.  Depending on what happens with the cases against him, his value may go back up before the draft.

Especially as it looks like Aaron Rodgers will be looking to go elsewhere for the 2022 season.

Could also have Russell Wilson. There were rumors of that earlier this offseason. And there’s some who believe he could ask to be trade next offseason.

NFL is really doing them no favors. They should just put him on the exempt list until everything is settled.

The system is so rigged against unvaccinated players that you might as well just require it.  Otherwise, guys are going to continue to be scapegoated and lose out on money simply for being "close contacts."

As usual, though, coastal elites/whites will continue to force their agenda on the rest of the country.

Dude, WTF?

Well his bishing, moaning and pouting hasn’t done him any favors.  Not to mention his less than enthusiastic play last season. But blame Lowie for A.) him not wanting to be here and B.) not moving him when he had real value 1-2 years ago.

I can agree with A and B from that post. Fair enough.
Also think Fulgham has a chance to not have a job at 4pm tomorrow.

I think they are in a damned if they do damned if they don’t tbh. They put him on that exempt list, fans/people will complain he’s still making 10.54 mil not to play. Plus I’m guessing his lawyer would fight it out of principle saying it feels like it would show guilt which creates a bunch of headaches. If not you are seeing what you are seeing currently

Wow.  Woke politically biased morons in the media in Indy as well.  Who knew.

I think there's something wrong with a football player who is risking millions of dollars and risking the health of his children because he doesn't want to get a vaccine. I wish that were not a political statement.  It says more about the sad state of politics that it is a political statement or that we view everyone in a lens where there are only 2 sides.  There's this false dichotomy of us vs. them in all of America that is fundamentally unhealthy for the country.

That would be a disappointment.  I’d hate to see JJAW get rewarded again.

Think they try to keep 4 TE’s and JJAW. Then possibly grab a WR released by someone else.

Both guys (WR’s) haven’t done anything noteworthy to be on 53 anyway.

How many minutes of a game do you think NFL players are actually physically engaged  so that their conditioning matters?

We are about to find out. I guarantee you, a Buddy Ryan/Andy Reid run training camp would beat the piss out this team, with it's training method. Easily, too.

Again, was it necessary and did it leave players in better condition to play? Also, how much time do you think players play during a game? Do you think they are physically playing for 60 minutes?

Get vaccinated, the end.

Well said... though I am loathe to even allude to politics here, I would go beyond "fundamentally unhealthy" and say "fundamentally quite dangerous"...

@ JR

At long last, I have had time to read Battle Cry of Freedom. I very much enjoyed it. Thanks for the recommendation.

It will difficult for me to keep a straight face when people proclaim to me that, at present,  the country has never been so polarized.

P.S. - W. B. Forrest  and W. Quantrill were truly odious characters.
