Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

Indeed.

What Brandon Brooks has been able to do to his body is pretty amazing.  I forget where I saw it but I think he cut down to like 280ish during rehab as you can see in the picture only to bulk back up to his playing weight.  Dude is an animal.

Williams had some fans in here.

It’s not like I hate him.  I just thinks he’s being elevated too high by some of the fans and the press.  He’s a fringe player.

He’s been somewhere between a poor man’s Darren Sproles and a rich man’s Reno Mahe

I think so. I don't think we move back after a claim until the regular season either. So maybe next Tuesday or something.

I believe it stays the same for 3 or 4 weeks into the season.

And you never "move back”. You always stay in your spot.

Why do the elderly hate fun?

Some of you guys wake up in the morning to be angry.

I get a kick out of Scott.  He may be short but he is pretty jacked.  203 lbs and incredible lift and leg results for a 5’ 6” guy.  Better humor than the McNabb clown show. I suspect that with Scott, Mailata, Kelce, Lane, Graham that the humor is the sort that unites the locker room.

Sounds like the union requested the League offer more testing if desired. League agreed while increasing the cost but also employee safety. I suspect the League may have asked for mandatory vaccination and the union just felt it couldn’t go there.  I recall decades ago when a risk manager really wanted mandatory drug testing on his construction sites.  The unions despite having a significant support amongst the members against intoxication on job sites just couldn’t go that far for probably 5% of the staff but did agree to post accident testing.  I suspect Covid vaccination is similar.  Eagles had people wearing masks on the sideline during the Jets game. Not many, but a few.

I wish he was more of a return specialist (like Sproles was), but regardless, he's a capable change of pace back that honestly is more reliable of a receiver than Sanders is. He's quality depth. I wouldn't label him a "fringe" player at this time. I'm not sure who is "evaluating him too high." It's not like people are calling for him to start.

Eagles have sure handed receivers in Smith and Ward (trigger one of the shallow posters pointing out that Ward dropped a pass against the Jets while ignoring Smith’s two drops against the Pats).  Very low drop rates.  But the suggestion I have seen hinted at by the beats is Gainwell has the best hands in the RB room.  Given that Scott had no drops last year and I don’t think he had any the year before, it is possible that we have two RBs that catch as well as Smith and Ward. And both of those guys demonstrated some ability to run between the tackles.

Elderly?  Do you even know what that means?   You’re talking to the guy who other posters complain about not being serious enough in here.  Now I’m the opposite?

He said you identify as old

I'd like to see us get him on the PS. There's potential there and he really needs another year of development before he can really challenge for playing time.

Maybe.  Second year in the pros, two years as a CB at a small school.  Light needs to go on soon.  If the Eagles sign him to the PS but drop him later this year, that wouldn’t be a huge surprise. Just seems a little stiff to me with below par instincts.

Hopefully he can finally stay healthy

Could see him as a PS candidate.

He is probably done.  Try hard guy but just not fast enough for the NFL.

That doesn’t make sense.   I guess he sees 1986 saying it and thinks I’m old.

I don’t get it either. Some things are funny forever, some things are funny once. The Boston Scott thing, the law of diminishing returns definitely applies.

Well I kid with 1986 like he works fast food.  He kids like I’m old.  Neither are true, I think.  But just like anything, unoriginal tools trying to be funny.

Boston Scott is not the level of player that should be clowning like he is.  He’s a slightly better Reno Mahe.  Big deal.

I forgot that NFL players can’t have personalities unless they are all stars. Just relax.

Mahe sucked, as a HB and as a PR. He had no speed whatsoever. The two are nothing alike.

The Eagles were enamored with finding carbon-copy players to fill roles on the team. When they drafted Pumphrey, he was supposed to take over for Sproles eventually. UNfortunately he was built nothing like Sproles and was simply too light for the NFL as a HB. I wasn't high on Scott originally because I thought once again they were trying too hard to find the next Sproles. As a HB, though, he's been a pleasant surprise. Unlike Mahe, Scott has actually scored TDs in the NFL.

Cool.  Scott is J.A.G.

Yeah and when his number is called, he produces. Just the kind of guy you want as a backup.

Well... against the Giants he has 6.  Against the rest of the NFL, he has 1.  (interestingly, the other team he scored against is Buffalo - something about that New York connection... and in that game against Buffalo, 5 carries, 6 yards, 1 TD.  He didn't exactly set the world on fire.).

Scott is a guy that you have around for when you have no one else.  He's not the next Darren Sproles, or anything close to it.  He's a JAG, there really isn't anything special about him.  He did juke that Jet out of his shoes on Friday night.  Of course, that guy is unemployed now.  Scott is a guy you keep on the PS for emergency use, but you don't make him a major part of the offensive philosophy.

Still mad I haven’t brought you the extra fries in a few weeks.

Scott hasn’t been terrible. He’s definitely been worth the roster spot over the past few seasons. I’d like to see Gainwell get his touches though
