Oh man....how soon before Bill and the Pats get that backlash.  You know it's coming.

Pats made the right choice.  The backlash should be in Chicago for starting the wrong QB.

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

I guess Cam not being vaccinated and knuckle head, and Mac Jones not ishing the bed led to that.

I wonder if the kid that got chippy with him earlier in the year has hit him up on the socials yet?

Really it's just Cam is a terrible QB.  Only time I've seen him throw the ball well was against the Eagles in preseason a couple weeks ago.

Howard fails as a power back in short yardage.  More of a one step back.

He’s been fine while in Philly. This isn’t even a defense of Howard, it’s more about Freeman.

We could cut Howard today and I wouldn’t give a crap.

He actually makes sense for most of the NFCE outside of the Eagles.

He makes every one of them better.

Newton stinks.  Even drafting at #15 you knew the job would belong to Mac Jones as soon as he was ready.  Judging by Jones' last preseason outing he's already better than Newton at the things NE wants to do offensively.  I think most people understand Newton is on his way out of the league unless he adjusts his attitude to accept a backup position.

I agree they made the right choice.  But many analysts won't agree including 99% of ESPN.

We got something for Pryor! Lol

Eagles just got a 6th round pick for Matt Pryor.

Sorry, traded to Colts for 2022 6th. We tossed in a 7.

That might be true... and that's a sad statement to make.  Because the DE position isn't one with much future right now.  Graham is at the end.  Kerrigan is at the end.  Barnett is constantly banged up, and Sweat still has yet to be used in a more significant role than situational pass rusher, and still has lingering questions about whether or not his knee will hold up for more snaps.   Milton Williams might be more DT than DE... and then there's the question mark in Tarron Jackson.  Not a lot of things to be excited for in 2022 and beyond at this point.  Seems deep for now... but really is just thin ice.

I feel like I'm Afan at this point.  Sweat and Barnett are both young players(24 and 25).  While neither of them are definite all-pros, I think each has played at an above average level. Sure there are questions and either one could leave next offseason but it's still the position where they have the most depth. Is it thin ice? I don't think it's any different than any other position in the NFL where injury and performance fluctuate from year to year.  I mean in Chip's last season it seemed like Kelce was done for but he rebounded and has been great.  My only point was that it's not a position that we should look to upgrade on the waiver wire.  I think DE is always a premium position but it's not one they need to upgrade.  It's possible that Graham will be the only remaining player next season at DE.  It's also possible all 4 will be back with Sweat and Barnett on long term deals.

He might be our third best CB.

Not sure I see that.  Instead of Scott as the #5 CB maybe.  Looks like @Iggles_Phan’s definition of a JAG to me.

I think Milne is a player

Dax Milne was lights out at BYU with Zach Wilson throwing him the Ball, he's no burner but he's got sneaky speed and athleticism.

The RB room is Sanders... and then JAGs Scott and Howard (he was a really good player, but RBs have very short shelf-lives), and a hopefully dangerous player in Gainwell.   Frankly, they could cut Scott and Howard, grab two guys off the waiver wire and plug them in and likely not be noticeably worse, and might even be better.   I am not pushing for Scott and Howard to be cut... though I would be fine with dropping Howard and looking to find another big back to kick the tires on.   Howard will still be sitting there if he is needed later.

I'd be fine if they cut Howard.  I think Scott should stay.

Wentz likes punishment.  He must have lobbied the Colts' brass to go get Pryor.

Holy crap, how desperate are the Colts... Give them Dillard for 3 1sts.

Pryor is hot garbage. Wonder what Dillard will bring in.

Getting anything for Matt Pryor is incredible. And we no longer have to watch him!

Noted.  LeanMean said upgraded with minimal cost, you are replace from the waiver  wire with equal talent.  Nicer than a player that plateaued short of the line and no longer developing, my description.  Basically a player that can be upgraded at some point but can have value to a team may fit better.  JAG is basically in the eye of the beholder.  I agree on roles.  Scott is not a starting RB.  Ward should not be a starting WR.  But both have a function on the team until something better comes along.

I said either or upgrade/replace without skipping a beat.

On most of this we both agree.  What makes short yardage successful in Philly has been a combination of Seumalo, Brooks and Kelce.   You could really see how the inside running game suffered without them last year.  Howard is okay for what he is but can be upgraded. Freeman is done.

Posted after the Pryor trade. Seems like more OL trades are possible.
