Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

It is the best defense to the disease is the vaccine and makes it less likely to impact the team.  There's no question that teams should take vaccination status into account.

It hasn't stopped it from impacting vaccinated coaches and players.

Wow Howie got 2 picks for Pryor? Come on. That little jewish kid sure does know how to get a little out of that pickle barrel at Greenman's

He actually netted 0 picks, just improved positioning and you're an idiot

Just because Dillard was a 1st round pick LT does not mean his performance so far in the league, and especially this preseason/TC, will be overlooked. His max value is swapping him for a player. Not getting close to a 3rd round pick for him.

Well, let’s look at that performance.  Four games at LT as a rookie.  A half as a RT, a position he never played before on a week’s notice.  Good performance at LT.  No PS games last year and a half a TC.  One PS game this year, where he and Toth beat the right side of the Jets DL.  It was the Jets DL, so……. Beats talking about a bad camp but they said just about exactly the same thing about Mailata last year.  (Could that say something about how Stoutland trains OL?).  So other than some of the beats badmouthing him, what performance leads you to the conclusion that no one would trade "close to a third” for him?  I watched his performance in 2019 closely and his performance in the PS game closely and I see a LT that can start for many teams in this league, and be an upgrade.  You don’t trade that for less than a third.  Thinks the Bears wouldn’t want Dillard over a 39 year old Peters?

That's all she wrote for Corey

He didn't look bad during their preseason games, I think someone picks him up.

I feel like I'm Afan at this point.  Sweat and Barnett are both young players(24 and 25).  While neither of them are definite all-pros, I think each has played at an above average level. Sure there are questions and either one could leave next offseason but it's still the position where they have the most depth. Is it thin ice? I don't think it's any different than any other position in the NFL where injury and performance fluctuate from year to year.  I mean in Chip's last season it seemed like Kelce was done for but he rebounded and has been great.  My only point was that it's not a position that we should look to upgrade on the waiver wire.  I think DE is always a premium position but it's not one they need to upgrade.  It's possible that Graham will be the only remaining player next season at DE.  It's also possible all 4 will be back with Sweat and Barnett on long term deals.

I agree with the bolded, but would look to add to the PS with a DE.  They WILL need to address DE with significant resources for next season though.  That's why its thin ice.  At this point, Graham and Kerrigan are stop gaps, and the next two are injury concerns, not to mention deciding how much to pay them.  I fear Howie bidding against himself to keep Barnett, as he's done recently with Brooks, Johnson, etc.

Not sure I see that.  Instead of Scott as the #5 CB maybe.  Looks like @Iggles_Phan’s definition of a JAG to me.

Agreed, but having JAGs at CB would be an upgrade over the recent dreck.

I'd be fine if they cut Howard.  I think Scott should stay.

I'm not saying that Scott should be cut, just saying if they did I don't think the drop off to the replacement would even be noticeable.

Probably already posted, but I liked him in the draft when he came out. Surprised he was cut

Surprised anybody would give anything up for him, but he's a guy who can play 3 different positions and he's big and has starting experience and trading for him eliminates bidding with other teams for his services when cut

Good trade for Pryor.

The only thing I'd push back on is that lining up in multiple positions does not mean you can play the position.  His feet are in concrete.  He is big, so it takes a little time for folks to run around him, but he's not good at all.  He was sure fire to be cut.  Good to get something for him, he wasn't making the team, and should not have been brought back to the PS either.

Yes, but now the odds of Wentz getting injured and costing us that first round pick increase.

To be fair, our 6 should be much higher than the Colts’. And it could turn into a 5.

Rounds 5-7 don’t really matter but it’s something for nothing.

Ummm... yes, they do.  Jason Kelce, Brent Celek, Todd Herremanns, Trent Cole, and a host of others.  Granted, they are more 'crap-shoot' than anything, but they absolutely 'matter'.  More darts allows more chances to hit.

Pryor won't sniff the field for them hopefully

I'll take him if it means we can get rid of JJAW.

Literally the only reason to keep him is insurance at LT. He can't play any other OL spot and probably won't be active all year.

If Mailata plays LT, you don’t think they will cross train Dillard?  Driscoll?  Heck, we don’t know if they weren’t already doing that.  Was Dillard lined up solely with a LT stance in 1 on 1s?  On the sled? In position drills.  I am not convinced deli boy Gowton and surfer Kempski could spot the difference. Not sure Bo Wulf can either.  From way across the field?  ESP?  The man that tweeted today:

"Without using substantial resources”.  Hence the minimalist cost paraphrase.  I was comparing that to waiver wire equality suggested by @Iggles_Phan   I guess that your definition, while a bit broader than his, could include waiver wire or even street free agents too.  Both are nicer than my defining JAG as a low ceiling player whose ceiling has been reached and is not high enough.  Of course my definition used Pryor as an example and the Colts just traded for him, so maybe I was too harsh.  I like your definition the best.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

I mean if Pryor had trade value I gotta imagine most all of the OL are a possibility.

ESP's ability to be consistently wrong is almost impressive.

I’m fine dealing pryor he was absolutely terrible last year. Which was a disappointment cause he looked competent in 2019. If you watch the last 2 drives of the Seahawks game last year it tells you everything you need to know about him.
