That is more true than ever with the expanded PS and the chance to promote two PS players each week without penalty or having to put them through waivers to put them back on the PS.   Gotta protect the limited talent that's on this roster.

Well, if this was a completely new regime from the GM down, then there wouldn't be any false hope for a failed 2nd round pick from the previous regime.  But... this isn't a completely new regime and we still have people trying to protect their reputations.

This team has 'extra' LBs?   It would be hard to say that this team has 2... let alone spare LBs.   I'll give you Wilson and Singleton.  Who are these other LBs that are 'extra' that another team might want to trade for?

That's probably why those positions are taking a while. Hopefully we bring in a CB & S via swaps so we don't have to give up positioning for hidden gems that get cut.

How is it a failure?  You sign a few tier-3 FAs before the draft to make sure you're not obligated to reach anywhere (remember 2011).  Then after the draft, mini camps, and the preseason you assess your situation and realize that you no longer need the player you brought in as a placeholder.

Just going off the earlier report that teams were interested in our OL and LB.  We got something for Matt Pryor so anything is possible ...
