I should probably take the time to make the obligatory comment I make every year. And that is that we shouldn't get too hung up on following a prescribed number of players at each position. Sure, it's a guideline. But if your eleventh offensive lineman is a considerably better player than your sixth linebacker, well, you gotta roll with eleven OLs and only 5 LBs.

So I wouldn't be surprised if they go with 21 linemen (offensive and defensive combined) and go short elsewhere. They just have more depth there than anywhere else. And then you just figure it out from there with game day call ups from the practice squad.

A lot of the last few roster spots can also depend on special teams play, also...

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

One of my favorite's from the U.  Worth a look IMO.

Should put in a claim for Yeboah. Next year we will have Goedert, Tyree, and Yeboah.

Well, if this was a completely new regime from the GM down, then there wouldn't be any false hope for a failed 2nd round pick from the previous regime.  But... this isn't a completely new regime and we still have people trying to protect their reputations.

Also, just because Fulgham was cut doesn't necessarily mean JJAW won't get cut too...

I hope that's what it is.  Reminds me of this moo point.  It's like a cow's opinion.  It doesn't matter... It's moo.

I don’t like Kempski much but he’s not the functional illiterate that is Marcus Hayes.

I am uncomfortable with the vowel to consonant ratio in that group.

He is also redundant to Reagor and Watkins.  They should PS him, see if he can getter better, and eventually push for a role next season instead of keeping Ward around.

PS Hightown is fine.  If speed is the thing in Hightower's favor, he is behind Reagor and Watkins.  Ward on the other hand brings a different element to the WR group.  Would that be more valuable?

How is it a failure?  You sign a few tier-3 FAs before the draft to make sure you're not obligated to reach anywhere (remember 2011).  Then after the draft, mini camps, and the preseason you assess your situation and realize that you no longer need the player you brought in as a placeholder.

I’m not saying it’s a failure, just an observation that we always sign a guy on day 1 of FA and end up cutting him by the deadline

I'd be putting claims in for Nigel Warrior and Kenny Robinson immediately.  I'm not sure of any of the CBs released today, but we need to find a decent one with size.

Maybe for this season to support Hurts while implementing a new scheme.  But we should want to improve on Ward in 2022.

Is he the hard hitting guy from WV or am I thinking of someone else?

I knew they weren't cutting JJAW. I think quite a few people here were in denial. Things can always change tho

That would be him

I wonder if he can act because he's got the villain look accurate

First?  Where have you been?  And it’s not just about Howie.  It’s Lowie.  But I am sure you think JJAW will get a spot (if he gets a spot) on merit.  Right?  Lowie has your undying confidence and support.

Pardon me.  First of the day.

I am open to objective criticism of the current GM.  He deserves plenty.

I am not endorsing notions of hidden agendas and conspiracies.

I wouldn't mind us picking him up

Yeah, I had JJAW on my 53, though I had Fulgham too...  right now they're at 5 WRs... it was never certain they would go with six, though they still might...
