The reason Ben hired Rich Paul was to get out of Philly.   Ben never wanted to be in Philly.  If traded to Minnesota he will work to get out of there after one season or simply tell MN he won't sign an extension killing any trade..  To Sacremento?  He may play out his contract there but won't resign.   He wants the Lakers.  This is all about ending up on the Lakers either before his 4 year contract is up or after as a FA.  But getting to Cali is top of the list right now.

Oh i think he’s be fine with the warriors or Lakers tbh. I am super petty so I’d be like don’t show up we will just fine you for 4 years. If you show up and you play lousy or half ass it then we will just bench you. Never would happen in the nba but I’m petty enough that’s what I’d do just to see him cry for four years like we had to suffer with his inability to shoot for 4 years.

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

I don't see Josiah Scott making it to week 1.  He's more of a PS guy to me.  No sense in having an Avonte Maddox clone on the team.

Any predictions on jersey number changes?  The obvious one would be Dickerson changing to 69.  Maybe Patrick Johnson grabs a number in the 50s.  Will Gainwell change from 14?  Tarron Jackson and Marlon T could have 95 or 98.  Stoll can switch to an 80s number.

I think Chargers take that division and Rodgers has another MVP season and wins the SB

I actually think the chiefs team this year is better than the team last year. Their oline is much better. Plus if hardman takes a step in his development they could actually be better at WR. I also expect CEH to be much better this year especially behind that rebuilt oline. I just don’t see any team beating them in the afc unless mahomes gets hurt or just has a mediocre type year.

Imo NFC is wide open. I think it comes down to bucs, GB, Rams. I think the niners could be a dark horse depending on if Jimmy G stays healthy with those offensive weapons.

Browns are the sleeper to get to the super bowl

Bucs stay healthy , they will be tough

brady knows they system now , and his knee healthy , normal camp and preseason for him and the offense to gel , all their starters back , added Gio Bernard  as a 3rd down receiving back

AB is up to speed , Gronk back in shape after sitting a year out , Evans healthy ,  their young players continue to progress , Tryon will be huge for giving JPP and Shaq a breather

Have you seen the animated battle maps produced by American Battlefield Trust?  I found them to be an excellent companion to Battle Cry of Freedom.

Here is the link to the map of Antietem:

Pretty interesting.  Wish it showed the topography.  I had a professor my first year of college at Texas A&M.  A&M was able to brag at that time that it graduated more officer candidates than all of the service academies combined.  Dr. Beaumont was a military historian.  He taught us a lot of the nuances and truths that you don’t get in the general histories.  He had these topographical models of each of the major battlefields of the Civil War but he always said, to get the feel for the battle, walk the ground.  I have been in the thickets of The Wilderness, climbed the split rail in the middle of Pickett’s charge (really Longstreet’s).  The stone bridge at Antietam is such a bottleneck, it is a miracle that Burnside had any of his men left.  But the sunken road.  That is hallowed ground.  It was trench warfare.  You can see it as the killing ground it was.   I am glad that to the extent they can, they have restored some of these battlefield’s to conditions mirroring the time.  Let your imagination include the smoke and the constant report of gunfire and artillery.  The horror of it comes alive and you can almost sense the fear of Henry Fleming.

Howie did not even remotely answer the level of interest in Watson question.

Nick seems to not be his high school coach self today.

Howie cannot comment on another team’s player.  It is considered tampering.

Not denying that with Bucs, they’re the team to beat and should be everybody’s Super Bowl favorite, with chiefs right behind. I just really really like what Bills have done and think they take a another step forward, have a feeling about them this year.

I think the real sleeper is the Chargers, that team could be tough this year if they stay healthy and things go well.

I didn't think the Bucs were all that special last season, I think it's recency bias. They got some lucky breaks in the playoffs. In the SB, the Chiefs OL was battered and the penalties were suspiciously askew.  I think it was like 100 penalty yards to zero in the first half or something? Absurd. The fix was definitely in.

I watched the Bucs all year and they were certainly a solid team, I think it was a fluke in a fraudulent COVID ridden season. I don't think they'll be a legit threat for a SB this season. I think the Niners, Rams, Packers, Seahawks are all better.

I could see a SB 54 rematch.

Heavily disagree there was a fix. Mahomes was clearly not 100% and that OL was brutal & taken advantage by a Bucs DL that’s one of best in the game. OL/DL play generally decide games, the Super Bowl was no exception.

Bucs have a loaded roster across the board. Every position group on that team is good to elite.

Could’ve given the same answer the Dolphins coach gave when asked

and as much as it pains to admit it, they have a very good coach. J#cka$$ but a very good coach

KC took a ass whooping like the Super Bowl hasn’t seen in awhile , and it’s not because they were down 2 OL , Bucs were down their starting RG  , had a damn rookie playing RT

Bucs got better after the bye , but they haven’t played anywhere near their best ball on offense yet .I’m just ready to start the season .

Yep they only added 9 player this year , 6 rookies and 3 free agents

they have no position weaknesses

Steelers cut Quincy Roche.  I wonder how he would look at the SLB/Rush LB position.  He was a tweener coming out of Miami but a heckuva pass rusher.

They also cut Jaylen Samuels, who I always viewed as a good Swiss army knife kind of back.

Did Shaka Toney make Washingtons roster? Thats the guy I wanted for the position before I was sure we would have that position. Now that we do, Im pissed we dont have him.

Three years of team control while Maddox has one.
