Scoop is none of us know, if she has some issues mentally or not, or if she just can't get her head in it or if she just can't hack it. I tend to think something triggered her and still question why they would do an interview about what happened to her at this particular moment in time. I certainly hope she just didn't decide F it I'm done at this particular moment.

It's a college injury, so it doesn't count in the eyes of the NFL.

I dont know if it's that easy.  Maybe for some but everyone is different. 

You hear alot about mental health, anxiety and depression today.  You didnt hear alot about that stuff when I was growing up.  I think a good part of the problem is social media.  Regular people and famous ones as well including athletes shouldn't be on it if they have mental health issues.

The me generation having a hard time understanding others.

Last I heard she was still considering competing at the all around and Individually.

If she chooses to do that good for her if not oh well I'd hope her coaches and those who care about her care about her mental health more than they do her winning some arbitrary medal

Thats fine. But Im not celebrating her as some sort of hero.  She took a spot from another potentially more deserving athlete and then was clowning around after quitting.  That tells me all I need to know.  She should go sit in the bleachers and let the other athletes compete, if youre worried about your mental health you dont sit around mugging for the cameras and laughing and joking with your teammates who are trying to compensate for you quitting on them mid-competition.

But of course now we have to celebrate this surrender as if its somehow heroic to quit at the first sign of failure. 

While I'm not a big fan of gymnastics,  I have a daughter that closely follows the team.  There wasn't another American gymnast close to her in qualifying.  It's not like she was handed a spot.  She competed and won the spot because she was hands down the best gymnast.  I have no idea why she isn't quitting other than not feeling like she is helping the team.  That's why there's an alternate spot. She may view it as being being the best decision for the team.  I will say part of it may have to do with what she perceives as the judges which favor European gymnasts mostly because they are not as athletic as the Americans. Her going out and being on the floor with her teammates is no different than any other athlete who bows out due to an injury.  She is supporting them.  

I don't think people are fine to look at her as making the right decision for her health and the team.  I think it's fine to question her and whether she is making the right decision.  Whether she should push through whatever is making her not compete. I don't think she is a hero or that the people going overboard are really doing her any favors.  I don't think the people that are calling her chickenshit and unworthy have a Fing clue about what she is going through. I mean most of them are  men who could not beat Biles in any athletic or competitive endeavor.  Until they have competed at something even close to her level, they should just shut the F up.  Of course they won't because people like to be outraged and it will get clicks and attention.  I mean look how irate you are about some person that doesn't give a second thought to whatever you think. 

Her decision should get a shrug of our shoulders as that's place in history.  This isn't anything other than one person making a decision based on what they think is best for them.  It isn't earth shattering and has happened thousands of times before without some delta being reached in human culture.  It could be made out of pure spite.  It could be that she has a serious anxiety condition that is related to her being sexually abused by people she trusted.  She may want to compete but thinks her other teammates are better than her and that she is hurting them. I would just be speculating.

It's not a set time. He can come off at any time. If he's on it to start the season its 7 weeks
