Those picks are really nice, but it's more than fair to still fret over whether the coach and QB are meshing and building into a long term sustainable offense.  Yesterday was nice and fun and we seem to have an exciting young QB and staff, but let's just keep perspective through this season.

Oh yeah, absolutely.  I'm talking more about freaking out over falling out of top 5 or not having two top 10 picks.

Not if they keep winning. They also don’t have that difficult a schedule.

I can see them going 3-3 down the stretch, 7-10 and giving us let's say the 12th pick.  Before the season we would have taken that in a heartbeat, they were supposed to be 10-7.

Yeah.  Not too worried about that right now.

Colts are ballin' lately. Looking like a good football team.

The Dolphins have won three straight.

The Colts have won three straight

The Eagles haven’t won three straight, but are three and one in their last four the same as the other two teams. These guys keep it up these picks will be like 20,21,22.

Howie's sweet spot!

He’s gonna nail them alright. Nail the coffin in the Eagles having any chance of talent for the future. No worries. Howie’s gonna trade down and acquire 15 5th round and 17 7th round picks. His true sweet spot. 😂🤣😂

At this point I'm expecting Dolphins 7-10, Colts 10-7 and Eagles 10-7. We have a chance to win out if we stay on our trajectory and our extremely weak schedule but there's always a likely stinker in there somewhere. Far cry from what the beginning of the season looked like in terms of pick positions.

Yeah, I've long believed that Dolphins pick would be our highest (top 10 but recent play means might instead be a top 15) and that Colts are a good team despite early season struggles. Barring injury to Wentz or Taylor, they'll be right in the thick of the playoffs (either in or just missing out)

Eagles recent play has surprised. We can see now that they are in fact good enough to consistently beat up bigly on bad teams and our schedule is very favourable. I initially thought we'd be a few spots below the Dolphins but now think will be right there with the Colts i.e. either in playoffs or just missing out

So I think we get one pick in the 8-15 spot and 2 in the 18-25 spot

I try to be always optimistic with the eagles.  I had wentz back for as long as I could until I couldn’t any longer.  I supported chip Kelly until I couldn’t any longer.  I will do the same with hurts and Siri.  And right now in happy with their progress over the last month.

I know I’m going to get a ton of crap for this comment but watching mahommes and Wilson and Prescott today and hurts is out performing them. And I would take hurts over wentz all day every day.

itsa trip that fans still complain about the 2nd rnd pick we used on hurts.  Hurts got a 1st round pick in return already just by outperforming wentz and allowing us to make him expendable netting us said 1st

and I really love the "hurts has a low ceiling and his arm will never be starting caliber” fans.  They have no clue just like everyone else. None of us know what he can or can’t be because it’s WAY too early.

I appreciate you, bro.

I don't care whether someone thinks a player's not good enough. But it's different when fans hate a player, wanting them to be cut or benched even when we can't replace them with a better player, celebrating the player's failures as proof of how smart they were to hate that player... we've even seen people wanting players to get injured.

It's a loser mentality.

I just hope that someone someone will look at me the way that Eagles fans look at 2nd string quarterbacks.

I don’t know about that. Go back and look at some of those threads and the posts that were made when Jalen Hurts was drafted. There was much hate for the kid as if he drafted himself. Some of the attacks were borderline personal. Of course most of the people who attacked him then still attack him now.

I actually defended him and it was actually with you. You didn't say anything bad but, you had a big problem with the pick itself and it could be for a QB that isn't the future... No issues there with that statement, I simply stated that yes it was stupid to use it on a QB but that doesn't make hurts a bad player and it doesn't mean he can't be a great player at some point.... Something along those lines. I actually even defended the pick itself when everyone was going off the handle about it.

I had back then a problem with the pick (I still do) but I had no problem with the player. That’s not what I’m talking about. I actually got into it with some people who were just trashing him as a player. I have no problem with anyone who questioned selecting a quarterback with a second round pick for a team that just gave a big contract to Wentz, but people doomed him to be a failure before he actually played, and some people just blatantly wrote they don’t like the guy. It was all pretty contentious, and I don’t think there was ever a moment when people truly embraced him as a backup.

Hell I was still on the Wentz wagon and defended the pick because of Wentz struggling to play late in the season lol

Well when he made the pick Wentz just got finished throwing for 4000 yards with no 1000 yard receiver. I mean if you really looked at that season you could see there were some trouble brewing, but it was still kind of shocking Howie took a backup quarterback in the second round.

Oh definitely it was stupid and I didn't agree with it but, at the same time I kind of understood why and didn't really buy the whole gadget player stuff. I think Howie thought he was outsmarting everyone and getting a top end back up and wouldn't miss a beat if Wentz got hurt again

After I heard Howie talk more about the situation and when I actually heard him say that he evaluated the team once the playoffs were over and looked around at who was and wasn’t there he drafted accordingly I understood the Hurts pick a lot more than when it initially happened. People were talking about Taysom Hill and flipping Hurts. I’m like none of that makes sense. Hurts will not get you more than what he was already drafted at if he doesn’t play. If anything his value depreciated from the point of the selection if he doesn’t get into games. On top of that the Eagles really spent a 2nd on a guy the Saints basically pulled off the scrap heap? When you think about that playoff game, and how the Eagles had to rely on a 40+ year old quarterback with a torn quad, because Wentz was hurt again then it does make a lot more sense.

Well the Jets just lost two quarterbacks to the Covid list. Just hold out for two more.

Wentz failing to stay healthy forced the Eagles to draft a quarterback in the second round. Wentz failing to deal with that quarterback being here got him benched and subsequently made him want out of town. Wentz failures are directly related to Jalen’s successes. Now we need to see him to take that next step.

They might already be at the 70% threshold needed for the Colts making the playoffs. But yeah, one more game should put them comfortably at the 75% needed regardless of whether the Colts are a playoff team or not.

Just need that 75%, because the Colts aren't in the playoff spot... so, we need the final insurance.  Game 13 should finish it.
