No need to be pissed, Carson still has the same bad throwing mechanics and foot placements, he wont change, he is set in his ways. He will never win a Superbowl, if we get a 1st and 3rd rounder for him, we done well....

So hoping we use the 3 x 1st rounders on Defense in the coming draft and also have a solid Free Agency.

We can possibly make a deep playoff run with Hurts in 2022,  if not our record will be bad and and we will have a good draft spot in 2023 to take a franchise QB with a strong young team already in place....

Run...is the key word of your message😂

But I never saw in Wentz a guy that didn't believe in himself. I do agree that after the season, he had no confidence in the Eagles FO.

I feel the lack of confidence in the FO was the driver in Wentz seeking a trade. There were other factors certainly, but anyone who has been in a situation in which they have  no confidence in leadership can relate, I'm pretty sure.

Can we?  What have you seen that would indicate that this team could actually beat a playoff team?

Correct.

Philadelphia Eagles on track to clinch first-round pick from Carson Wentz trade with Indianapolis Colts

"Philadelphia Eagles on track to clinch first-round pick from Carson Wentz trade with Indianapolis Colts

The conditional 2022 draft pick that the Indianapolis Colts sent to the Philadelphia Eagles last offseason for quarterback Carson Wentz could be clinched as a first-rounder Sunday.

The Eagles need Wentz to play 75% of the Colts' offensive snaps this season to turn the pick into a first-round selection in next year's draft, a mark that is on track to hit Sunday in Indianapolis' game against Houston.

The second-round pick could also become a first-rounder if Wentz plays less than 70% of the snaps but the Colts go to the playoffs.

Entering Sunday, Wentz has played 747 of the Colts' 759 offensive snaps this season -- 98%. The Colts average about 63 plays per game, putting them on pace to run about 1,075 plays this season. If the Colts maintain that average over their final five games, Wentz would clear the 75% mark by playing every snap Sunday.

Wentz, 28, has thrown for 2,790 yards this season with 21 touchdowns and five interceptions. The Colts enter Sunday's game 6-6, a half-game back of the seventh and final playoff spot in the AFC."

Howie should’ve been the first one to go!  The only reason why I think he’s survived is because he’s Lurie’s shell and Jeff is making more of these picks and decisions than we truly know. It will be interesting to see how things play out, because I believe Howie’s contract is up in 2022.

It sure seems like Lurie has become a behind-the-scenes Al Davis.   Howie takes the heat, but Lurie is making the calls.

Is it "less than 70%" if they make the playoffs, or is it 70% or more, if they make the playoffs? If it's "less than 70%", then he could have played 1% and we'd get the 1st round pick, if they make the playoffs.

I believe it's the later....atleast 70% + make the playoffs

It's 70% if he makes the playoffs... 75% if they don't.

70%+ and playoffs.

75%+ and no playoffs.

That's what I thought, 'less than 70%' wouldn't make sense. lol

2 more weeks.   About 10-20 more snaps should finish it.

Sounds like he was pulled early. Missed 10 snaps so they need one more game.

He has enough

How many snaps does he need in the next game?

It’s hard to say snap counts to the number, but I would think if he finishes the half, it should be comfortably in our grasp.

Oh for F sakes.. lol we got it! It's over!

It's pretty close.  If he gets benched or injured - they likely have fewer snaps each game... and so he hits the threshold anyway.   But, a few more snaps will cinch it.

Season ending injury on the first drive next week and the colts miss the playoffs.  It's the philly thing to do.

Pretty much where I’m at. He’s been healthy since week 2, (in football terms at least), so I don’t see much issue from here on.

Missed fewer snaps than Hurts... who is 'built different'.

3 firsts next draft. Can't wait to see how bad Howie screws it up.
