Ken Starr was supposed to investigate Whitewater, but then Ken Starr found out he had sex.

Exactly.

Not to mention, the last Special Prosecutor that led an investigation into Trump was Mueller, who Republicans like Norsemen not only ignored, but have openly derided for the past few years.  But, sure, if they were to appoint a Special Prosecutor, Trump cult members would totally take it seriously.

Next hearing is gonna be revisiting The Big Onion's testimony and give further details on yamtits' behavior while the attack was ongoing

He was originally commissioned to look into the whitewater situation, but in the course of his investigation he was provided evidence of the Lewinsky / Clinton relationship.  At which point, he began investigating that.  A committee was then formed to politically embarrass Clinton.

which prompted significant reforms in the form of guardrails around which special prosecutors can operate. which is why Mueller's investigation was much more limited in scope - he was not able to follow up on any leads he felt needed investigating, but was limited to referring them to the DOJ.

Cheney is my current cougar crush.

So we're gonna get some clips of Pasquale's testimony after all

I don't like how short these clips are, and how they're woven in to whats-her-name's narrative.

I'd rather they give longer clips in context, to remove any doubt, than to pick up bits and pieces of the depositions with narration.

He flipped on Meadows.

He gave 8 hours of testimony so they have to narrow it down to bite-sized clips either way, but I agree that there needs to be more context for them and hopefully we'll get that in the next hearing.

Pasquale sounds pissed. Pissed that his career is forever tainted with this absurdity, pissed that it's even gotten to this point, pissed that he's even having to explain why what Trump did was abhorrent.

Powell says she only had 10 or 15 min to speak with Trump alone before his aides came running, "I believe Pat Cipollone set a new land speed record."

I'm mainly looking at the areas that Fox/etc. are going to try and spin this.

all of his testimony really does ring of a "I cannot fugging believe I am here right now."

Eric Hershmann - "I'm being nice.. but [Sidney Powell is a stupid beetch]"

wow they're really deconstructing this meeting and drawing the lines.

basically the lawyers willing to break the law to help keep Trump in power, and lawyers who actually think the law means something.

Same with Barr. A lot of them come across like they were genuinely surprised that Trump was capable of behaving this way and going to such lengths. Which is super confusing to me. Like how can you be this close to someone like that for so long and not see what the rest of us could see for years now? It's bizarre.

if they were surprised, they were stupid.

but, on some level, thank god they were stupid enough to be there because if not who the freak knows what might have happened. Trump would have had Sidney Powell and Rudy Guiliani doing whatever they wanted - legal or not.

I’m listening on NPR and there are too many F bombs - they muted like 20 seconds

the twitter employee isn't going to help morons.

This is a point that is so simple it almost comes off as stupid, but that, unbelievably, has to be pointed out when it comes to Trump.  No other President has had his indiscretions explained away because he has the emotional intelligence of a pre-teen.

lol

Yeah, this is pointless. Let's get to the purported evidence of Trump allies communicating with the extremist groups.

Yeah, people post crazy things online. Imagine Raskin reading some of @Blobeph's posts...

I not sure the refugee center for /r/the_donald morons makes a lot of sense to quote either. but ok. whatever. can we get to something relevant to the White House directly coordinating with extremist groups, or is this what you think constitutes that?

Raskin sucks. I guess that was fodder for leftist podcasts. I hope there's more meat.

Reposting for those who aren't watching, because it's just that good
