For all of you that think this game was close.  Eagles had 10 possessions.  6 of those, 3 and out, 6 straight 3 and outs after the opening TD.

First TD, 45 of the 75 yards was a PI, Second TD, 50 of the 75 yards was a PI.  Last TD on a short field when the Bucs could have easily punted.

Eagles had 213 yards and 20 minutes TOP.

The only reason the game appeared close, Tampa Bay took their foot of the gas.

The line hasn't changed, so gamblers think Tua = Brissett

After watching the dolphins the past couple of weeks besides the raiders game, it’s looked a lot like the starts tua has had at QB so far in his career.

This is 100% truth and the reality of where we are right now. Sadly this team wont get better till we get a actual NFL QB and that could be years

Really ??  A team new our plays ??  It seems like the entire NFL has figured out the Lowie analytics play book.  Maybe the coach should be scheming the offense, not the owner and GM.

Penalties killed Buc secondary b/c they were committing PI on every other play, Reagor had two none calls on 3rd down that were clearly PI (grabbing the WR's arm?).

Geez, I love fans:

Pre-season - trade everyone for draft picks, rebuild

Regular season - bench the young QB for a JAG, why can't we beat top teams with our lack of talent?

We knew this was going to be a three year process, that there were going to be a lot of growing pains, so stop whining.

Young QBs struggle, especially on bad teams where they're asked to do too much. Get over it.

I've seen really bad teams, I've seen HCs lose teams, we're not seeing anything like that here. So relax.

Geez, just acknowledge when a player isn't good enough.  Furthermore, is this the talk the team is giving to Slay, Cox, Kelce, Smith, Goedert, Graham, Mailata, and on and on: we aren't going to give you the best chance to win.  The point is to win, if the young QB can't get it done, which unfortunately he can't, then yes, play the SB winning veteran QB and see if it works better.

I guarantee the offense would look light years better if Minshew gets into the line up.

I actually think the Eagles were fortunate that this game was played on a Thursday night and not on a Sunday. Because I think the Buccaneers were just trying to get out of Philadelphia on a Thursday short week without an injury once they got up by 21 points. the Buccaneers didn’t go full kill mode like they did with the dolphins on Sunday and with how they were moving the ball when they got up 28-7 they very well could’ve.

Maybe I'm too optimistic about the Dolphins pick, but I think the Jags can hang and honestly beat the Dolphins this week. One of these two teams is going to quit in England.

If you look at it this way, the Jaguars have the better quarterback of the two teams. I would also say the offense for the jags has better playmakers currently than the dolphins who likely are down fuller, Parker going into that game. I think that game is a coin flip. I know betting sites have the dolphins at -150/155 but i think the dolphins have played about the same as the jags but got lucky that Damien Harris fumbled a football.

No it isn't. But the offense lacks any kind of fluency and any kind of creation. Its the same thing over and over and over. Siri is not helping Hurts or even helping to assess Hurts.

I mean guys are open consistently it seems.  What can Sirianni do?  Make the throws for Hurts since he can't make them himself?

I really feel like this season is a pure evaluation season.  They know they aren't winning anything, they got some draft picks to work with and some decisions to make on current players.

They want to see what kind of passer Hurts is which is why they are throwing so much.

It's also in the UK, where the Jags have been playing every year.

Just to point this out, but outside of the atlanta game the eagles have been down double digits in every single game this year.

Sf— down 14

dallas— down 20 and then 27

KC— down 18

panthers— 12

Bucs— 21

when I went back and rewatch the game it felt like once the bucs got up 21 points they thought the Eagles would just roll over and die and took their foot off the gas. Their offense felt like they were just trying to milk the clock and get out of the game without suffering an injury instead of like last week where brady went for the annihilation and total embarrassment of the dolphins.

At the end when the bucs needed to move the ball they made plays and would have scored if they didn’t just kneel down and run the clock out. And before anybody says well they got a phantom penalty to help, the Eagles being a dumb team put themselves in a position to get that dumb penalty call. Avery needs to be smarter and just go back to the huddle and not even risk putting himself in that position

In hindsight, the penalty did nothing. They didn’t score on the drive and within 2 plays after they had a new set of down.

Thoughts on the game...

-- Trying not to overreact about Hurts, but man... Playing a depleted secondary and your speed demons running free all night, THAT'S how you perform? Terrible.

- The worst part of Hurts continuing to struggle is knowing that it will tempt Howie/Lurie to be aggressive at targeting a QB. Which means they're more likely to use multiple 1st rounders on a QB next year rather than restock the young talent on this roster.

Devonta, Mailata, Sweat, and Quez are the under-25 promising players on this team. Davion Taylor and Milton Williams are the boom or bust projects (not dissimilar from Mailata or Sweat a few years ago). Dickerson is a big "we'll see." There might be hope for Reagor, but eh... This isn't a great group, but at least there's talent and upside there. Keep adding to it; don't sell the farm for a QB.

-- Sirianni didn't make it easier on Hurts. Why call an RPO or read option on almost every play? It's not working. Hurts isn't making the right decisions and he takes too long to throw the ball on the RPOs. Mistakes on top of mistakes.

-- Another year, another team with no power running game. You'd think having 3 effective downhill backs during YOUR ONLY SUPER BOWL SEASON would convince you that there's still a place in the NFL for a downhill, physical running game. Guess not.

-- I hate Sweat on the left side. Every time he crashes inside, a right-handed QB is gonna easily roll to his right and make a play downfield. Same thing can be said for every time he overpursues. He belongs on the right side as he continues to develop. Screw Barnett.

Thats a given, even Flacco would be an upgrade....  and I would think  if the Offense looked better, it would be a more appetizing place for other players for FA etc. Right now, it just looks dysfunctional at best.

Funny how the good teams like Tampa always seem to do these two things

Run the ball and Stop the run.

Coincidence?

What the hell is going on with Lane Johnson anyway? Any news on where he is besides personal matter?

in fairness everyone runs the ball against us. That’s not a coincidence. Just pointing out the Bucs are currently 26th in the league in rushing yards per game. Our run defense is just bad.

Here you go @RememberTheKoy, this is the passing chart of a bad QB.

Eric Wilson is losing more and more snaps, but we can’t even cut him to save money. His $2.75M is completely guaranteed.

Great break down by Baldy, and and showing once again, Hurts runs right and runs into trouble when the scheme got the primary read open.

We’re 26th.

We are talking about run defense right? In yards per game we are 26th. In total rush yards given up according to nfl.com we are currently 32nd. Granted there’s about 6-7 teams that by the end of the weekend that could or likely will pass us.

Take the L. Dude is a waste of space.

I think Smith could have had a great rookie year with a better QB and better HC. I think he'll have a great career but he's getting screwed in his rookie year

theh are going to find a way to trade for one who is on the market or they’re going to trade up or select one wherever they’re picking. People forget there were a lot of people who did not think Carson Wentz was nearly as good as the draft class before with Marcus Mariota and Jameis Winston. There were a lot of people on this board who did not want to trade up to get Carson Wentz. And the Eagles did it anyway. If the Eagles identify one of those college quarterbacks that they absolutely love they will go and try to move heaven and earth to get that quarterback especially with the assets they have acquired.  that’s not saying that’s what I would do but knowing the Eagles organization and how they view things there is a strong possibility that is what they’re going to do. I don’t see them staying idle for another off-season kicking the can down the road to get a franchise quarterback.

Everyone on here keeps saying there's no one good enough in this upcoming draft
