What are you talking about?

I guess he found out the Eagles are rebuilding a month ago.

I'd love to hear Ertz's honest opinion about Reagor

If reagor wasn’t a first round pick i would argue there’s a chance he might not be here next year with how things are going so far

Quite frankly, unless Hurts does a complete 180 and starts playing like he's the answer long term Howie should be fired for this whole QB mess.

And it is such a mess

Somehow the SB win has bought only him immunity. Everyone else that was part of the SB victory is disposable

I’m not ****ing. I’ve expected them to be a 6-7 win team. Likely where they finish. That doesn’t mean I’m not going to say the truth that our QB has not shown to be better each passing week. I’d actually say he’s regressed almost every week besides the KC game

What sucks is most of expected a 6-7 win team, but the team outside of our QB seems to be a little better than we expected. We had a real chance to beat SF and potentially TB.

I'm warming up to the idea of Matt Corral in the draft

Another 'dual threat' QB who runs too much for my liking, and listed at 6'2" but doesn't look 6'2"

This is actually what I term a "value draft" QB class.  So far, from what I've seen, I like Tyler Shough and Carson Strong more than I like Howell, Slovis, Willis, Corral, Ridder, etc.  You might see the best QB of the 2022 draft class come from the 3rd or 4th round.

Guessing I butchered his name. Gotta admit I don’t know who he is 😄

I would concur with this.

As much as I like Ridder this QB class isn’t very good. Fitting for this team a day late and dollar short.

Nah.  Never had a chance last night.

The remainder of the season is the better gauge.  Except for Herbert and maybe Dak in week 18, no really challenging QBs.  The defense should be keeping us in games like against Carolina and SF.

Can the offense get out of the mud?  If Hurts looks this bad for 3-4 more games, I'd bench him and start planning for 2022.

And what you said is the reason why I believe the Eagles were as interested in Deshaun Watson as what was reported. Because I think the Eagles believe that if they had Deshaun Watson (and he was able to play) they likely believe they could be 4-2 (possibly better with how bad KCs defense is) right now and not 2-4. That is the exact reason why I think lurie and Howie this off-season are going to go all in on a quarterback whether that is a veteran or somebody in the draft. If draft kings or whomever would let me bet on that I’d easily put it all on them doing so.

with a real QB, we are probably in every game.

He at least works through his reads before taking off. Almost every QB coming out of the draft these days has the ability to run. It's needed to be successful in most college offenses. Can't fault him for that but I do get the Hurts PTSD with QBs who can run.

Theres no chance that Jefferson would be the player he is in Minnesota if he had the Wentz/Doug duo last year and the Hurts/Siri duo this year.

Not sure it’d take 3 games. If hurts is the same against them raiders then against a bad lions team i think you make the decision to go with minshew and see what he offers you in terms of a backup in sirianni’s offense and if he can be a long Term starter (very unlikely imo)

That is true, though I'd add LB to that list.  They still suck.   And S isn't much better.

Depends on roster building philosophy.  I think the Eagles have some pretty good young talent on offense, but a dire need for young talent on defense.  I don't mind waiting 1-2 years for the right QB if it means using the draft capital to bring in some blue-chip talent on defense.

Possibly true. however i think reagor has a poor attitude that goes along with his underwhelming performance. there’s a lot of bad body language on the field at times. I’d also argue if reagor didn’t come here i still don’t think he’d have overwhelming success.

Gotta say, I'm not a huge fan of putting that much draft capital into a QB and immediately paying him top dollar for a team that's frankly not good enough to add a 'cherry on top' QB.  This defense still needs a ton of help, and we still don't know enough about the young OL we have to know if they are good enough or not to move forward with.

Oh, and add to that that I have zero interest in trading for a guy that wants out of his current situation because he didn't get a say in the new hires at HC or GM.

Before the Gruden thing I would have said the Raiders game would be a problem. Now I don't know

I expected and predicted a 7 win season. I even said if they don't beat Atlanta there's a real shot they go winless until the Lions game so I wasn't expecting much and they actually exceed my expectations from a W/L standpoint. However, what I did expect was to at least look like an NFL team that belonged on the field. I expected them to improve from week to week in certain areas, and while there would be speedbumps along the way, you could sit back even with a loss and point out 3-5 things the players or coaching staff did better than the last game. Instead, its the same issues every week. The same sloppy football. The same boring, sloppy coaching. The same player mistakes, week in, week out. Siriannis core value is accountability and this is one of the least accountable teams I have ever watched from the players, to the coaches, to the FO, to the hot dog vendors at the LINC.

This offense has to look better against the Lions, right?  It just can't look like this against that team, can it?

I dont know much about him, but I will say this, he has a lively arm, it pops from his hands, and he seems to have ability to read the field and use his eyes to move defenders, looks calm in the pocket. Of course, thats a limited view.

Trading Ertz confirms that this is a rebuild season. (If anyone had any doubts).

Next issue will likely be determining Hurts’ future.   If he has 2-3 more games like last night, I wouldn’t mind (or doubt the Eagles would too) seeing what another QB looks like in Sirianni’s system.
