PED policy was different punishments for something like steroids showing up vs a masking agent showing up. The more times you fail for the same thing the harsher the punishment. But it didn't matter if you were strike 1 or 2 on substance abuse and vice versa. Then there's substance abuse policy, which I don't think gets punished at all anymore unless maybe it's something hardcore. Marijuana isn't punished anymore. So I don't really understand why he would miss a substance abuse test, unless they just combined the policies or something. Hmmm I guess we will find out. I blame Josh Gordon for this!

Did you hear that they might start 0-3 this season which I guess would be a surprise, even though they should have been 0-4 last year and are still trying to win by doing exactly the same thing this year?
September 10, 20214 yr The issue with Tyron Smith is the neck injury and surgeries he's had to correct it - he's never been the same since that first injury and you can see by how much his play has slid. I think even Jason Peters is thinking, damn kid, you're close to being done.

September 10, 20214 yr Interesting that this is directly from the NFLPA website. I wonder how they came up with 5 games. This also means he missed a ton of tests

Your memories might be mixed up. Opening day of 99, Finneran was an Eagle and he had a pass go through his hands late in the game to Kwamie Lassiter if I’m not mistaken for an INT that AZ turned into the GW FG.

Yea, I had a few different memories combined in to one. As a UD fan, I always hated the Finneran brothers when they were at Nova. However, when the Eagles signed Brian I thought he would be a nice pickup. The Eagles have always had issues with WR. Finneran dropped that pass but then went on to have a 10-year career with 238 catches for 3100 yards and 19 TDs. He would have been a solid/reliable target for McNabb while they went through the James Thrash, Charles Johnson, Torrance Small, FreEx days...

NFL is so damn confusing when it comes to punishment

I just went through all the box scores of week 1 from 1995 - 2005, not seeing it. Are you thinking of Joey Galloway in 1998 in the 38-0 loss in Philadelphia ?? Unless you are thinking of Joe Jurevisius in 2003, he had 2 TD's, but only 4 catches for 39 yards.

I had Brian Finneran right...just he was an Eagle and he dropped a pass leading to him getting cut. The guy who torched the Eagles was JJ with the Bucs in the last game at the Vet. Somehow I combined those in to some made up fake Vultron WR memory.

I would not say he dominated anyone that day. Looking at that box score, McNabb was so bad that day. 19 of 37 for 148 and a pick.

September 10, 20214 yr Amazon about to close the deal to get NFL Sunday Ticket starting next season. Hopefully the realize the money they can make and sell it as a stand alone service at a lower rate. Increasing customers is more profitable than over charging for the service.
