Don't know what Raiders could do but they were definitely screwed by the league

I had no idea he was 27

When Jags had 5 seconds left and clocked it

What others have said is there is much worse on Gruden, they just wanted enough to fire him, but not have him burned at the stake, but yea, they got screwed.
I’m certainly not a Washington fan but if they have the balls to get Snyder, hopefully he goes.  I know their field isn’t great, but they’re attendance number have really been shrinking the past 4-5 years.

What would kind of contract would he need to sign in order to get back equivalent to a 5th round pick in the 2022 draft?  That's on par with a 4th round comp pick, given the delay in getting it back, and would be at the end of the round, rather than the pick being somewhere in the middle of the round.   And I don't see him getting a contract on par with a 4th round comp pick, considering he was a UFA this past year and had to come to the Eagles for a tiny contract because no one else wanted to sign him.   With that said, I doubt a team would be willing to give up a 5th round pick for him now, unless they lost their starting CB for the season.  Even then... a 5th is likely more than a team would give up for him.   I'd take it in a heartbeat though.   I'd even take a swap... 5th round pick in exchange for a 7th plus Nelson.

Based on 2022 projections, the lowest APY that was projected at 4th round level was Agholor's $11M APY. No way Nelson gets close to that.

Not sure. He was also asked again about it and he said he wouldn't get into specifics on record so it seems there's more

It's a Hurts for Trevor Lawrence swap straight up; Nick just doesn't want to let the cat out of the bag.  Urban likes Hurts' swag and thinks it'll help him with the ladies

You think we could throw Howie in as a late addition? Maybe some team would buy into his executive of the year award.

If Howie can manage to trade himself to another team I will buy everyone here a customized Howie Roseman Fathead.

Firing a HC would definitely impact the teams during the season. Firing or making an owner quit during the season wouldn't IMO

No thanks... I'd prefer not.

But it gets Howie off the team. It's a real Monkeys Paw scenario.

Yup.  The comp pick formula doesn't cancel out just for contracts of equal weight.  You need to have a net loss of players overall to be involved in the formula.  The comp pick thing is great and all, but this fanbase can't bank on it, because in general, Howie doesn't seem to care about it.

About 2 years ago some in here had gone so overboard with suggesting incredibly ludicrous roster moves all in the name of comp picks, and at the time it was argued, with quotes from Howie, that he loves to stock up on comp picks.

If anything comp picks have become more valuable now that they've become tradable. What changed to make you now believe he doesn't seem to care about them?

His actual moves would indicate that he doesn't love to stock up on comp picks.  Look at how many he has actually stock piled?  Other teams stockpile those comp picks.  Over the years of Howie in that role, his track record shows he doesn't 'stock up' on them at all.   He can say whatever he wants to, but I've learned not to listen to Howie, but to watch what he actually does.

This is fair, and in life it is actually the best indicator of a persons true motivation/agenda/plans/ person.   All too often people give too much credence to what someone says over what someone does.

Ill take your word for it, but Id be interested to know over the last 5 years or so how our amount of comp picks stacks up against other teams.

I know a lot of people, many times have cheered " COMP PICKS!!!" because of an established history of accumulating picks here.

Hurts gives awesome pressers

"How do you plan to stay in the pocket more?"

"By staying in the pocket."

"Nick said he want's to work on adjusting faster on offense if something isn't working, what are some ways you think you could do that?"

"By adjusting faster."

I had a conniving, idiot, thought his poop didnt smell boss at my last job and he(my ex boss) was the reason that company saw a huge turn over.

Think about this, your the QB, you need help on your offense.... so the GM gets rid of the OC, replaces him with 3 puppets. I need weapons you give me Mack Hollins, Reagor, JJAW, Dillard and a back up QB to help me and then people are upset that you wanted to get off the sinking ship.

I have ZERO issue with Wentz asking off this trainwreck

I think Wentz's ego was impacted by the team drafting Hurts.  He had just come off a playoff loss where he suffered a concussion that made him miss the game.  He had ended the 2 prior seasons with injuries.  Yes, there were the issues with team talent.  I think as much of it was his fragile ego.  So while I can agree that Wentz wanted out for good reasons.  I think less of him as a competitor for demanding the trade.

Oh boy

He is correct.  We all see the open receivers that he doesn't.

It’s hard to stock up on comp picks when the depth is so poor you don’t have natural replacements on the roster.

You do realize that the "comp pick” celebration posts we’re sarcastic shots at Howie, right?  You do know that …… I hope.

No. It was the other way around. There were a bunch of people that got carried away with trying to look smart by predicting some off the wall move just because itd bring us a comp pick. Because of Howie's quotes about looking for ways to accumulate them. And those people were mocked with the sarcastic comp pick posts. Other times, it was actually celebrating the fact that we were set up to receive more comp picks.

I have no real reason for posting this, but I feel as though this will become a gem at some point depending on what happens on the field:
