More people just wanted to cut sendejo cause he sucked and rather have had a comp pick then Keep running him out there when he was useless.

Or injure his teammates...

Is it too defeatist to think it’s better off losing right now as to not give off the illusion that we’re a good team?

Need major changes and I hate to be in tank mode week 7, but with the draft capital we have, it’s a once in a decade type of opportunity.

"the name plates on the back of his OL jerseys"?

Seriously, what does that mean?  Obviously, no one else has the exact same vantage point as he does.  BUT, at the same time, plenty of people know what he should be seeing out there, most importantly, his coaches.

Well, hes trying to insinuate that no one can really knock him because they havent been in his position.

Like how Doc and Ben suggest people bashing Ben dont realize how he helps the team in so many different ways. Because non-players just dont understand basketball on the same level.

Its the ultimate cop-out.

Prior to ben the last time I recall it being used was by Iguodala.

Iguodala was eventually shipped out. Ben is on his way. Hopefully Hurts soon to follow.

Passive aggressive and defensive quotes don’t usually lead to good things

How many Championship rings does Iguodala have?

The tradition started in 1938 when Herbert "Fritz” Crisler left Princeton University to coach football at the University of Michigan. When he arrived on campus in Ann Arbor, he brought his winged helmet concept, which he developed at Princeton, along with him. At the time, Michigan’s helmet was a plain black and brown leather helmet. Crisler’s new design consisted of a blue helmet with a maize (yellow) wing, and three stripes running to the back of the helmet. One of the benefits of the new helmets was to assist the quarterback find his receivers downfield. In the debut game of Michigan’s winged helmet, the Wolverines shut out the Michigan State Spartans 14-0 on October 1st, 1938.

They are what their record says they are.  I think they'll end the season 7-10 and will hopefully keep their current draft capital for the draft.

I'll cheer for them each week, get slightly irked when they fail, and hope the organization does the right things for a successful rebuild

FWIW -- it's quite unlikely the 3 draft picks will be where they're currently slotted.  The Eagles and Colts are getting into the easier part of their schedules, so I'm going on the assumption the picks will be somewhere in the #6, 12, and 15 range.  MIA being as terrible as they've been so far has been a windfall for our draft outlook.

But, he's such a good leader.

Oh God, we have Trubisky.

cap space wise, can the Eagles even afford 3 1st round picks next year?

what?

How did the new helmet assist his QB in finding his receivers downfield?

Shhhh.  Don’t interrupt.  He’s trying to rationalize that Howie’s desire to make moves to get comp picks is the same as a "bunch of people” in here mocking Howie for his desire to get Comp picks.    Makes total sense.

Not exactly, I said Howie doesn't actually care about comp picks, given the lack of comp picks over his tenure.  He claimed to like comp picks, but his actual moves don't show that as much.   In the most recent years, that's gone up.  But, it has been pretty low over his tenure.

I'm not impressed with Hurts' leadership when it actually matters.  His leadership in camp was meaningless.  His leadership on the field now matters, and if the QB can't take responsibility for his failures, that will lead others to follow that example (i.e. Reagor), or to completely tune him out when he talks because its empty words (i.e. Smith).  A true leader looks at their failures (including that Dallas game that he just wanted to flush) and learns from them.     That comment from him was the worst he's made yet.  I know its a Kobe quote... but the time that Kobe made that comment, he was already a multi-time league MVP and Champion.  Those types of players can flush bad games and move on, because they've done the work leading up to that point... but Hurts hasn't done enough in the NFL that he can afford to 'flush' a bad game.  In fact, on the contrary, he needed to spend more time focusing on that game to figure out where he needs to improve.

You purge whatever salary you need to purge to be able to afford it.  These players would be the cornerstone of your rebuild -- and they are cost-controlled for 4 years with a 5th-year option.

The #6, 12, and 15 picks in the 2021 draft were Waddle, Parsons and Mac Jones.  Combined, their contracts are 4 years at a total of around $60M -- basically $5M AAV each for 3 players who would (should) be starters right away.

No one really. We didn’t lose anyone to qualify for the formula besides Mills. I guess technically if they cut Wilson, Harris and Flacco it would open up like a 6th.

No Hunt or Chubb either. Thursday games are the worst.

All they got left is top 3 TE David Njoku.

Unless we draft Jalen Reagor 2.0, Nelson Agholor 2.0 and Danny Watkins 2.0, or even Derek Barnett 2.0 for that matter.
