Who knows the truth of the allegations.  Watson's behavior doesn't show a lot of stability.  Additionally, he has quit on his team because he thought it wasn't fair they didn't include him in the head coaching decision.  He's talented but he has real red flags.  What's to say that they trade for him and he doesn't do the same thing here or somewhere else assuming he doesn't face some long term suspension.

There isn’t. However you’re assuming a dysfunctional organization isn’t going to make a move for those reason when they see a top 10 quarterback and say you know what he’s 27 years old and we could have a top 10 quarterback for the next decade and Think that outweighs those other issues.

They are more willing to do it then you are. Based off of multiple reports now they were very interested in making a trade to the point where howie was talking to Deshaun Watson‘s camp about him coming to Philadelphia. And they sent people to Houston to investigate it and they were the ones pressing it the most according to Ian Rappaport.

And I’m not saying you should trust him or it’s a smart move but it’s becoming more and more obvious the Eagles believe he’s not gonna go to prison and if they could make that move they probably would’ve already done so

If Watson were on sale because he was damaged goods, I'd be all for it. But it's hard to trade multiple 1st round picks for a guy who might be suspended for a year or worse in the future.

Given the fact that Miami and now Carolina are in the mix, not sure how we win.

Drafting a QB and sitting him behind Minshew makes more sense than the alternatives. Not sure what you do with Hurts at that point.

who cares?

I am guessing if the Eagles ever made that trade  they did enough of an investigation to know that he’s only going to get a suspension next year and over 10 years that is a small price to pay for them in their mind. Also likely believe they can rehab his image like they did vick.

I’m not sure how they win either because I think he’s gonna force his way to Miami or Carolina if there’s a good offer on the table even if the Eagles have the best offer. I actually think the Eagles when everything is said and done will likely have the best offer on the table or there’s gonna be a report saying the Texans had to turn down a better offer cause watson didn’t want to come here.

Look for Howie to re-engage in trade talks for Watson.

Watson doesn't want to come here and he has a full no trade clause, it's irrelevant

All trading for Watson would do for this team is save Howie's job.  It would be a mistake.

Lions, Chargers, Denver, Saints, Giants, Jets.

1-5.  headed into the bye week.

3-3.

The most Eagles thing possible is to beat the truly bad teams just to mess up draft position. We'll finish 6-11/7-10 to pick around 9-12.

Let's be realistic:

Lions- coin toss

Chargers- loss

Denver- coin toss

Saints- loss

Giants- loss

Jets- win

At best 3-3, most likely 2-4.

Getting a franchise QB for this numbnuts of a coach is a waste.  Lurie needs to clean house.  Let a new GM come in and make the calls.

Getting a franchise QB will attract better coaches and executives to your team because they'll think they have a chance to win there.

They really need to completely fail. I'll give them 2 more wins. That should get us to 5ish

Wentz is gonna end up 10-7ish, 35Touchdowns, 8INTs, 3500 yards and lead his team to a WC win and people will still think he's a terrible QB

I don't think he's a terrible QB. I just don't think he's a particularly good one either.

That was my point. Houston can now bid those 2 against one another and Watson would accept either. We are irrelevant since he won't come here.

Get ready to fall in love with Kenny Pickett

Okay, I had to take a second look.  Pretty impressive win over Clemson.  Clemson isn't Clemson anymore (not that their defense was ever very good), but Pickett looked impressive.  I'm already a firm "No" on Willis, Corral, and Howell, so .....

I’m not arguing that it’s a mistake or not. I’m telling you they be willing to do it. There’s this belief in the blog that there’s no way the Eagles would make that move. There’s 100% chance they would make that move if they knew Deshaun Watson would come here. I believe that trade would’ve already been done if he would agree to it. there’s an agent (corry) that said they were included goedert in a trade package

Eagles somehow are -3.5 on the road against Detroit

we dont know that fo sure. It's unlikely he will come, it is not impossible.

The odds makers know something we dont? Like Minshew starting?

No.

Possible. I think there’s the outside chance that of Miami and Carolina aren’t anywhere close to the Eagles offer. The Texans say we are going to hold onto you for the rest of the year and maybe there’s a bigger market in the off-season where we can get more picks so you have to wait cause these same offers are going to be there in the offseason from Carolina and Miami. Might actually behoove the Texans to not accept the Carolina offer if he’s able to play this year. Because if you make Carolina wait until the off-season to accept their offer that first round pick is going to be much better with Sam Darnold that quarterback than it is with Watson. If the Texans are willing to make him wait, at that point Deshaun Watson might say I just went out bad enough that I’m willing to go to the Eagles. Odds are very slim tho of that occurring

Nah, they have been bullish on the Eagles all year, and I'm guessing the public has been losing a lot of money on this team.

Imagine watching last night's game and tweeting this.

Howie should start communicating with Watson's camp again. He was dead set on Miami, but If MIA is wavering and he's desperate to get out of HOU, there is a pathway to convince him to come here.

It's not like CAR and MIA are loaded with offensive talent, heck between Quez/Smitty/Goedert/Sanders/Gainwell, we have the most among the 3 teams.
