In other words, Howie is only a good GM for a bad team.

And his rebuilding skills leave a lot to be desired.  He happened to get lucky with the 2017 FA group.  He has not done well with FA's since then, except Hargrave.

The thing afan fails to realize, we would not need to rebuild if Howie had not blown it in so many drafts.

Had to trade draft capital for an aging corner, and give him a new contract, and a restructure because of all the misses at corner.

Had to trade draft capital for an aging WR, had to make a mid season trade for a WR because of all the misses at WR.

Had to draft a 2nd, 1st and 1st round WR in consecutive years due to all the misses at WR.

Looks like Barnett will be gone.  We will have nothing, zero, nada, zilch to show from the 8 picks in the 2017 draft.

Yes!!  Gannon’s brilliant defense that purposely funnels running and passing plays to the Linebackers, a position this team may never draft higher than a 3rd round pick, and refuses to pay for a premium one.
Did Gannon interview with anyone but Nick?  Maybe the FO believed that he would somehow be successful and move on quickly, like after 1 year.    Where’s Billy Davis and his gay version of the 3-4 when you need him?

Gannon was in demand. I don't know how many teams he interviewed with but Staley wanted him in LA. He was also linked to another team, I forget who.

I don’t entertain asinine comments , no matter what I say  , you’ll just type JFC  and post little emojis .

Tomlin sees the value of mobility too.

Now trade for Hurts.

To be honest, I would like them to start Minshew just so we can **** about someone else sucking.

Maybe as a backup to Jackson

A backup QB is worth a 2nd round pick. ;) I'd do that deal in a heartbeat.

I didn’t watch the Colts so I knew nothing about him but people on here were very happy about the hire

That's a non-denial confirmation of failing to provide a definitive denial of the confirmation of a definite possibility of a future maybe that ends in the protracted speculation that has been on going, and will continue in perpetuity or until a full resolution is found.

Trading for Watson would be worse decision than drafting Hurts.

I dont know. Not having a franchise QB, with no 100% blue chip prospect avail in the 2022 draft.....?  Means waiting to 2023 to draft one "IF" there is one there and you can position yourself to get them, then wait another 2-3 years to be relevant again?

Drafting Hurts last year already pushed this franchise back 3 Years, not trading for a Franchise Qb (Watson/Rodgers etc) when they are avail will add another 3 years to that total.   Maybe you are ok with a 6 year total rebuild, not me.   It would be different if there were Blue Chip QB prospects coming out in 2022

if fans ran the eagles , they would be super bowl champs every year , smh

If I ran the Eagles, our offensive skill guys right now would be Metcalf, Jefferson and Kamara.

You need to grow up , do you ever sit back and read what you post before hitting send ? Try it sometime , if you have any self respect , your post count would be cut in half , that is what you call constructive criticism  , do as you wish with it , but honestly I’m tired of being embarrassed for you .

It is absolutely annoying they keep pushing this narrative.

I know, I know. They aren't going to rip the team. Just give me a "we need to do better" and move on. Kelce said it best "If you come up here and make a bunch of excuses, you come up here and try to lie to them and act like they don't know what they're talking about -- which sometimes they don't -- when you act that way or you aren't accountable, you're making mistakes or you're not getting better, they're going to crush you."

Yup.  Just say, "I need to do better with the guys that are here."

Sounds like he doesn’t want any part of going down with the Hurts ship.

After 7 weeks he still doesn’t trust the pocket

Also on that thought I’ve been impressed with what the backups overall have done. We’re still having different combinations again but it’s not the mess that was 2020

Opening series against Tampa, clean pocket, could have stepped up and hit Smith or the WR at the second level, immediately rolled right, right into pressure.

And Wentz. We wouldn't have drafted JJAW, Reagor, SMITH, Nor Hurts.

Part of available (the biggest part actually) is wanting to come to Philly.  Wilson and Watson have no-trade clauses and have already listed their teams, and Philly is not on the list.  No way in hell Rodgers leaves a team 13-3 in back-to-back years to come to Philly.

One of these days I am going to reconstruct the drafts from 2017 through 2020, and show if the consensus players that the board liked were selected, what this team would look like.
