Sounds like he doesn’t want any part of going down with the Hurts ship.

Can't blame him. He's a young guy that got to build up his resume with Phillip Rivers and one year of Herbert. He's tending down each game this year with the crap that's out there.

Carr had a 91.2% completion pct.?

And then Vilma said, "This is a good Eagles defense"?

One of these days I am going to reconstruct the drafts from 2017 through 2020, and show if the consensus players that the board liked were selected, what this team would look like.

Please don't.  Watching this team is bad enough lol.

Part of available (the biggest part actually) is wanting to come to Philly.  Wilson and Watson have no-trade clauses and have already listed their teams, and Philly is not on the list.  No way in hell Rodgers leaves a team 13-3 in back-to-back years to come to Philly.

Again, that doesn't stop me from trying. It's unlikely they come here, but not an impossibility.

Oooh... interesting.  Smith made some massive motions during the first play of a drive.  Just had a touchback, the O comes on to the field late and he shows his frustration. Not sure if he's frustrated with the coaches for being in late coming out on to the field, or at Hurts for not recognizing that he was one on one with a DB on the wide part of the field.

Second time I've seen him showing some frustration like that late in games... or after games (Came off mouthing "just run the ball" at one point after a game)

In Vilma’s defense they are one of the 32 best in the entire world….

Yeah.  That was early in the game though.  So give him credit.  How would he have known that Carr would have played so well.  Did you really want him to do his research?

No... this is the 4th quarter.

If I ran the Eagles, our offensive skill guys right now would be Metcalf, Jefferson and Kamara.

Well if any fan is running the Eagles, then most likely they are picking top 5 every year. You would really take those players that high?

I am pretty certain he said something to the same effect in the 1st quarter or early 2nd.

He might have.

Not good, especially for someone so introverted like Smith.

Lots of bad body language going on. Cox was yelling at the sideline on the first drive. Kelce visibly shakes his head multiple times each game. If the vets are doing it, so will the young guys.

yup.

And I'm upset no one mentioned that Johnson came off at some point in the 4th quarter, and Dillard stepped in at LT, Mailata flipped to RT.

Vilma has a list of 5 talking points he just cycles through all game.

Your post does not make sense.  I would have drafted Kamara over Sidney Jones ( 43rd ), Metcalf over JJAWful ( 57th ) and Jefferson over Reagor ( 21st )

Howie is doing his due diligence, there's no question.  Lots of reports he's keeping tabs on the Watson soap opera.  In the end, as long as MIA wants him, that's where he's going -- that's how the no-trade clauses have worked.  Even if Philly was on Russell Wilson's list it's almost impossible to believe SEA won't trade him to the AFC.  The salary cap mess makes it implausible to pursue a FA QB.

My vote would be trade Hurts after the season for a 3rd/4th round pick, play Minshew as a bridge, pick up Foles super-cheap as a vet backup (unless he retires), and draft a 3rd/4th round developmental QB.  Use all the high picks in 2022 to build a defense.

If 2022 stinks as bad as 2021 then there's a bit more to pick from in the 2023 QB 1st round draft class -- maybe even some QB prospects taller than 6'0 ....

Yeah if we aren't careful, and give him a decent QB to throw him the ball and a decent balanced game, and maybe a defense that does something diff than just play a soft zone, he wont resign here, he will want to get out of here as soon as he can.

personally I cant blame him. Hell you think the Wr's and the Oline want to keep playing hard for this crap?

Interesting tidbit though.  Eagles are 5-5 on 2 point conversions.  That says something about the coaching staff, IMO.

I didn't quote what I found you post about Reagor the night we drafted him.

Feel free to.  I admit when I am wrong, which apparently happens a lot.  I will accept whatever jokes come my way.  Reagor is a bust.

If it makes you feel any better i have kamara and Jefferson on my 2-5 fantasy team lmao

This is the one area that Hurts has been excellent

There's plenty of blame to go around but we have to get tighter on both O and D.   The sad reality is Dak, Pat, Tom and Carr all had field days in 4 of our 5 losses.    You aren't going to win giving up these big numbers and long drives to QB's.   So we have to things to correct on both sides of the ball.   But Defense is giving up way to many yards and points.    Bend don't break is actually breaking.   Every game is turning into a shootout.   That's not sustainable.

Oh yeah.  When you need 2 yards, we have the offense for you.

Maybe if we take baby steps each week and increase it to just 3.5 yards for each play we can continue to sustain first downs lol

A WR who is asking to run the ball really doesn’t trust his QB.

Great he can warm the bench for most of the game, when we need a 2 point conversion, we can bring him in.

Our game plan might actually be genius. We know we don't have the talent to compete with most teams, so what do we do? Let them run out to a big lead, hopefully by half time. Then, they get complacent in the second half and we surge, piling up useless stats and near comebacks. It worked against a crappy team like Carolina. Against the better teams, well, if you look only at the scores at the end of games, it looks like we're close.

We can envisions all sorts of solutions to fix the Eagles, but as long as Roseman is calling the shots, we're F'ed.
