which is why you havent seen Flacco/Minshew.

Hurts is doing EXACTLY what they want

On the defensive side too.  There is no way they should be playing that laid back, vanilla style all game.

There is no way that Sirianni and Gannon can come from a place like Indy and use these methods while thinking they are gonna work.  They're tanking this season.

Not the hero we wanted… or really the hero we needed.

Because your boy Howie is going to continue to draft great.  Then we would have the stocked roster to go out and get the QB.  Isn't that what you wanted?  Make your mind up.  Sheesh.

You know what’s gonna be hilarious is when the Eagles go out and get a franchise quarterback whether it’s the draft or a veteran and then he changes his tune about why they had to go out and get the quarterback. Meanwhile a couple months back he was going on about how we had a bunch of good young players here going forward. So if that’s true according to him then the Eagles should go out and get the franchise quarterback

Can we sue Jeff Lurie for a lack of a football team?

The 2022 draft should be one of the deepest drafts in NFL history

He's right, given how many underclassmen did not declare for the last one... but... that doesn't mean that the QB position will be any good.   The last draft was very, very weak.

Remember 2017 when they said it was one of the deepest cornerback classes and the Eagles wound up with Sidney Jones and Rasul Douglas. Fun times

Or how about 2019 when it was all about pass rushers and we landed Shareef Miller

Two of you get it.

Most of the time, when you hear pre-draft stuff, it's almost always about the top of the first round, the "media darling" picks.

A deep draft is one where solid players are available up to say pick 130, a shallow one is when they peter out after pick 100 or so.

This draft will have a lot of "COVID redshirts" that fly under the radar b/c they weren't blue chips out of HS but developed with an extra year of college.

Wasnt 2020 one of the deepest WR classes we've seen in 25 years?

Thank god we nailed our selection

Didn't we land Watkins in the 6th rd?

The guy picking the players is a moron. Not excited by this news.

That's a non-denial confirmation of failing to provide a definitive denial of the confirmation of a definite possibility of a future maybe that ends in the protracted speculation that has been on going, and will continue in perpetuity or until a full resolution is found.

What is 12?

Gannon was in demand. I don't know how many teams he interviewed with but Staley wanted him in LA. He was also linked to another team, I forget who.

Chicago I believe, he had been a good DB coach for awhile.   Gannon says he doesn’t have a scheme, then plays guys out of position to fit his scheme.
Dennis Allen, wasn’t a great HC, but since being back as a D coordinator the past few seasons, his adjustments in game and down by down show you don’t have to put players in bad positions, Belichick has made a career off of it.    It’s such a copy cat league in terms of offense, you’d think the same could be said for defense and someone as highly regarded as Gannon was.

What has Watkins done? Does he even have a TD catch this season?

If I ran the Eagles, our offensive skill guys right now would be Metcalf, Jefferson and Kamara.

You would have given Kamara the contract he has?

Part of the poor fundamentals on defense is poor coaching too, not just S players.

Is it though ?

I mean one can polish a turd it's still a turd.

Majority of players on D are turds

I dont know... Russ with the Bears would be interesting. (yes I know they have fieldS)

Bears are an easy choice, 3 good years there and you’re the best QB in history. It’s a Major market, and as a QB, you’d own the town.

Yes. The defensive line has players. They're not being used properly and they're not playing with proper technique. Coaching players to play a defense a certain way makes a big difference. Everything we do is sloppy. It's the players, and it's poor coaching as well.

Well that answers it. That draft was a success.

Or a historically deep RB draft the year Howie traded up for Donnell pumphrey...
