Watson won't waive his no-trade clause apparently for anyone other than MIA. So won't matter what CAR is willing to give up.

If that’s the case he’s staying with the Texans until all his legal issues are resolved. Could be into the summer of 2022 unless he settled the civil cases and can get the criminal charges dropped.

Love tha, no deal is imminent, no sheet!!   Any GM trading for him right now would be an idiot savant.  He might go to jail, it isn’t just about all those settlements, whats the number 22?
It would be one thing if it was just 4-5 over a period of 2-3 years, this dude was setting records if it’s true.  He does 4 years or longer then what, he ain’t Tyson or Hernandez, Watson will out at 30 years old with pig tails and his finger nails painted

Btw, can an addendum be made to his contract, no Massage Therapists unless the ma sa ger,  is a man?

The only way i see him traded now is if someone is dumb enough to just take the risk or the Texans allow for conditions to be placed on the picks they are receiving which i see neither of those things happening. I tend to think he’s going to sit all the way until next offseason and even then it might not be done with

Dude, La Canfora is a legend. How can you be wrong legit 90% of the time and still be considered an insider. Can't knock the hustle.

Ticket for Pickett!

I'm still not there. Not with a top 10 pick and possibly not even with a first round pick.

I’m expecting a low scoring, very ugly game of football on Sunday between Eagles and Lions. I have a gut feeling that Lions pull off their first win, and will be the tipping point of Eagles imploding this season. This could be the game Sirianni starts to lose the locker room if he can’t put together a successful game plan.

Im taking Detroit 13 Eagles 9

Slay revenge game & picks off Goff

@LeanMeanGM

@LeanMeanGM

Lions 23

Eagles 20

Bonus: We hear about how close we are from at least two people in the post game.

1. Safety, Hamilton

1. DE, Hutchinson

1. CB, Stingley

2. LB, Harris

It doesn't get any better than that.

It could be better. I would trade back from one of those first rounders and gain an additional first for 2023 if you have a buyer.

No answer at QB next year, but at least they might start become competitive defensively - just have to worry about evolving into the WFT (football pergatory).

if we knowingly go into 2022 season without a franchise qb, then we had better defer a pick or 2 from the 2022 draft stock to the 2023 draft, to make sure we have the capital needed to get into the top 5 to draft the QB of the future in the 2023 draft. By not doing that we can ensure we would not be in position to draft a good qb if there is one avail in 2023.

So I am all for taking a 1st rd pick and trading down to gain an addition 1st rd pick in 2023 if you know you wont be drafting a franchise qb this year.

There's likely no answer at QB in this draft.  All D is the way to go.

That’s the consensus. I like J.Davis in that spot; schematically we need a dominant run stuffer to allow our safeties to play in outer space.

The real trouble starts if the Eagles decide to keep Hurts as their starting QB for 2022

That would be a truly scary moment if they think he's the future

Assuming the Eagles don't fire the coaching staff after one season (I doubt they will), they will be looking for a QB that Nick and Shane believe fit their system they want to run -- and I don't think any of us knows exactly who that might be.

Like I said, wait until the end of the year, the track record of top drafted QBs is so bad I don't care where they were drafted anymore.

The odds of getting a franchise QB (a real one, who is a true difference maker) are so low you can't plan on it. So you're really looking at tier 2 (good to very good QBs) or tier 3 (good enough). Tier 4 doesn't matter (bottom 10 or so) because they're so bad you can pick up a decent veteran and upgrade for a year or two. To me, the difference between tier 2 and tier 3 doesn't come close to the difference in talent between most teams - that is, they're not going to overcome a flawed team so you're talking a marginal improvement.

Big Ben is a good example, call him tier 2 or tier 3, he's never been a franchise QB, but had enough talent around him to win consistently. That's what you hope for.

C'mon man...the dude played in the era of Brady, Manning, Brees, Rodgers and was just a step below them for a large majority of his career.  If not for Ben the Steelers would have been irrelevant.

Follow the link and read what they say about him.

Not many good games today

Mich / Mich state

Corral against Auburn

Levis against Miss state

Strong looked real good last night

2x Super Bowl Champion, 6x Pro Bowl, 2x passing leader, 18 year starter with over 64% completion percentage/60k yards  and OROY is not a franchise QB. Wow. That might be the dumbest QB take I’ve seen, surpassing Mahomes is unproven.

If they manage to survive season 1, they will probably be on the hot seat season 2 unless they make significant improvement. I don’t think they are going to corner themselves into a QB that fits them, unless it’s just a generic "accurate passer with mobility.”

If they have a choice they're not going with Hurts or Minshew while on the hot seat -- that's for certain.  At least live and die with a prospect you evaluate and groom yourself.
