I usually dont care much about PSU winning but Id have liked to see them upset Ohio State and knock them out of the playoff. Theyre never a real contender compared to Alabama and this year Georgia either. And theyre always in it. Wouldnt mind seeing someone else get their spot.

It was a lot closer than the 106 point difference

So Brisker can run a little bit.

That's a disgrace.   Running clock starts at 35-0, but not until the second half.   But, frankly, there's no reason to score that much.  That's 15 touchdowns plus... What could possibly make a coach think that it's ok to put up that kind of beating on an opponent.  Just ridiculous.

I deleted my post because I didn’t see that a QB threw 13 TD passes. Yikes.

Can you imagine Hurts in garbage time like that? He’d be threading the needle 50 yards downfield

Yep. I usually side with "it is what it is” when stuff like this comes up but that score is ridiculous. There was a photo I saw of the score not even fitting on the high school scoreboard.

Carroll not impressing me…

Ridder and Strong looking more appealing

Finally watched Nevada vs UNLV, Strong was really good again, he’s still hitting the short passes and those just get his rhythm going because he definitely goes vertical when he can.
That bad knee doesn’t stop him at all from moving around the pocket and on roll outs, but he’s Malik Willis, or even "the 2021 version of Sam Howell,” he’s just a really good passer.
Him and Pickett are the two best passers in the upcoming draft.  Pickett is slightly more accurate but Strong has the cannon arm.

Strong’s last 2 games

86 - 110, 78%.  893 yds  8 TDs   2 INTs

One thing that stood out to me was despite Strong’s lack of foot speed, he really has great pocket mobility. Reminds me of Mac Jones in that way.

@LeanMeanGM The Eagles tend to do well when I pick against them so I'm going with:

Lions 41 Eagles 33

Bonus: Lions score on their first offensive drive of the game + Goff completes 70% of his passes.

Oh, and I met Dick Vermeil today and shook his hand.

A potential option at QB next year that hasn't been talked about much is Jordan Love.

If Rodgers and GB come to an agreement and decide to trade Love, he could be had for a fair price.

Food for thought.

@LeanMeanGM

Scott and Gainwell surprise the Lions. They don’t have an answer for the screen game.  When they try to position to counter, that opens up the passing game. Eagles 38 lions 17  Bonus. Scott scores on a run of over 10 yards.

Caplan had the rumor on draft night that the eagles were looking into Love and very interested in him.

^ I wonder what the offer would be, I doubt they get a 1st, but a 2nd seems reasonable for Love.

Georgia’s defense is sick, they’ve only given up 53 points this year. The closest under is Auburn back in 1988 with 51, but this is being done well into the passing era in college football.  TBF, 3/4 of the defense will probably be in the NFL within 2 years.

This Virginia/BYU game is nuts. The over/under was 73. They covered that in the first half combining for 80 points.

To get a really, really good backup you need to waste a first rounder

I think running the ball would help the offense in general overall. I don’t think running the ball will help Hurts ball placement, accuracy, abandoning the pocket or his bad mechanics and footwork.

Bottom line the argument boils down to basically "let’s take the ball out of his hands”. Which isn’t great for a guy trying to make the case as a long term starter.

He’s got the intangibles👍

btw

Eagles 27

Lions 20

Devonta Smith TD.

I will be very surprised if the eagles win today, I think most on here, if honest, agrees

Yeah I'd agree with that. Lions play tough. Mind you I wouldn't put it past the Eagles to be down in the 4th and rally to win. The lions aren't very good so they won't be that far ahead.

Wouldn’t it be just perfect that the lions who can’t get out of their own way will solve it today.

I just suspect we are going to see more of the same... This team will struggle but will rally and probably win!

Well it wouldn’t surprise me but I’m still hopeful we win today( and hour earlier for us who’s clocks went back last night). And I see Dak Prescott is a game time decision for Dallas.
