As a fan of the Wentz trade I was dreading the thought of him going to Indy, Turing into 2017 form, becoming superstar and winning the Super Bowl this year. I’d have to stay away from TATE for a loooong time

May of us suspected some of the issues were ingrained, but with the mess the Eagles were last year, we never knew.

However, Carson is a very good QB but has some major issues when he colours outside of the lines that a change of jersey won't solve

Why did they run? Well, it was Detroit. But also the OL is starting to jell, Mailata and Dickerson are beasts as run blockers, Lane is working his way back into prime shape. Did you see the goalline run where Mailata took his man from the 5 yard line into the end zone? Vintage Peters.

Hurts and Wenta are both 3-5, and it's hard to claim Wentz has the worst team and the worst HC. But we have Indy's 1st rd pick.

Those were 2 brutal INTs by Wentz.  The play call for a screen pass in the shadow of your own EZ is dumb first of all.  Still, that was just poor by Wentz to throw it up left handed like that.  You're either gifting TEN a TD just as it happened with an INT or even if he is tackled once he picks it then TEN is scoring a TD from the 2yd line.  Or, there's nothing but OL and DL players there so it's intentional grounding in the EZ for a safety and TEN gets the ball back to run out the clock.  And if you argue that the RB was kind of in the vicinity laying on the ground among the OL/DL players scrum so it wouldn't have been intentional grounding then why didn't Wentz just throw it at the turf near the RB for an incomplete pass?  He sees his RB fall to the ground and has to have that clock ticking in his head to get rid of the ball ASAP so just throw the ball near the prone RB so it hits the ground first and is incomplete instead of risking a ricochet and INT. 

That OT INT, what the Hell was he thinking?  Triple coverage.  Three other receivers without a D player within 5 yards of them.  Horrible decision. 

We just need 5 more games from him for their 1st Round pick.  However, we also need him playing just well enough for the Colts to be in the playoff hunt up to Week 13.  Don't need him to keep making such bad decisions like that so he risks getting benched.  Don't want him and the Colts to go into a Death spiral until after the Week 14 bye.

A shame because Wentz had basically everything you wanted from a QB, but his self confessed gunslinger mentality is his Achilles Heal and it always will be until he acknowledges he has to play smarter and under control.

It’s really hard to comprehend how so many eagles fans here cry about losing wentz

a) he sucked here outside of a few games on a team that went on to win the Super Bowl  

b) he is expensive: far too much so for what you get from him

c) he doesn’t think he has a problem: yet he dramatically regressed and continues to do so in Indy  

d) big ego:  he didn’t even want to be here after getting benched and got hurty butt
E) accountability:    Non existent  

f) hero ball:   It’s the worst traite you could want in a qb especially when you don’t see the field well(check) and are injury prone(check)

G) poor leader: see all of the above for explanation 

 Itch about the eagles all you want. They have a lot to work on. and have to find a solution at qb  Hurts is a nice back up but not starting caliber yet.  I think he can be but I do t think lurid or this fan base have the patience .  But please don’t make an argument for wentz leaving being a mistake.   It was a blessing.

Yes.  Who gives us a better chance to win that wentz did.  But every week in the game day thread we see the same posts  about how we shouldn’t have let wentz get away at least 10 times.   it’s ridiculous 

hurts needs time.  We have a whole season to see how he progresses and if it doesn’t work out we got ton of ammo to go get a qb next year if we choose to.  I personally would use our ammo on building a dominant defense and roll with hurts another year.
