He actually has LB instincts.  His trouble is he's just not very fast.

Howard revived the Eagles who started flat on offense with some hard runs. The number two is Scott, who hasn‘t done much yet. Gainwell more of a no-show again.

Eagles with two stops on fourth down keeping the game close. Feels like momentum is shifting to us right now..

If I'm the Chargers... I am playing for points.   I got the move for it at the 2, because you were at the 2 and would have them buried deep... and they turned it into a short field to get the TD they did get.   That was a spot to get points and take the FG.  Especially as an answer to the Eagles running all over the D on the previous drive.

OL is reestablishing the LOS.  Howard is running like a battering ram.

Yeah he is. He just does what he needs to do. Nothing fancy, not looking for the big play just get the head down and get the yards. Behind a good OL he's a good RB.

He looked like this in the PS too.  He should be RB1 until Sanders is back.  

 

But, he also illustrates that you don't need to spend big money on a RB to get effective play from that position.
