They need to stop running Hurts so much , and teach him how to be a QB

They tried.  It failed.  He’s a running back.  Might as well use him as one.

That ship has sailed he is what he is a back up

Sirianni took the Salute to Service day for real and decided to bust out the Army/Navy offense.

DeVonta was open and even telling Jalen to throw it with some touch.

Too bad Hurts doesn't have that kind of skill and ball placement ability.

Love it. He has that Al Davis spirit about him -- fast as hell, defiant, everyone thinks he's done.

4 completed passes at the half.  Was t there talk of the Chargers missing 3 cbs?

I've said it before, and I will say it again... a starting QB's rushing attempts should never come close to the number of completions they have.  Hurts has more called rushes than he has completions.  He's NOT an NFL QB.

It’s working but this is such a boring offense to watch

This is what you run when you lack a competent qb

If the Eagles can't gut teams with the run they have little chance. Hurts' accuracy is that bad.

Not surprising.   Desean and Alshon were close.

When does Shanny get on the hot seat ?

losing to the cards 14-0 who are missing 2 WOs a RB and starting QB

Or... counter proposal... might as well turn the keys over to Minshew and see what this team can do with this offense and maybe we learn something better about Sirianni's scheme.

If anything, this buys Hurts more time to grow into QB at the NFL level. Continuing to bash their head against the wall was getting them nowhere.

Expect the Chargers to stack 8 in the box in the 2nd half and make Hurts pass the football to make them pay.  Hurts on that 3rd-and-goal in the red zone looked really bad from the pocket.

Chargers have to keep him back there and take their chances

I'm ready for some Minshew mania.  We can stick to the power running game and maybe even mix in a guy that can use more of the field to pass it effectively from time to time.

There is something nice seeing the Saints lose to a last second FG at home against the Falcons.  Who dat losing at home?

You know I didn't realise the Jags beat the Bills. That's good for us.

that is not possible. He does not have the capability to be a real QB.

Gainwell being banished is baffling.

This 180 in offensive play calling gives Sirianni a pass of sorts.  It’s now clear he had a choice…run a bastardized passing offense of smoke, mirrors, screeens, dinks, and dunks…or run the ball every play and use your QB as a second RB.

We don’t know anything about the offense he’d actually run, for better or worse.

Better just to see the Falcons get a win.

Eagles with 25 carries for 115 yards, though Hurts has 6 for 32.  I think only 1 was a scramble with the rest being designed runs.  Hurts is only 4 of 9 for 54 yards passing and missed TWO possible TD throws (to Goedert and Smith).

Nice to see TE Jackson getting loads of snaps.  Damn is he big and he looks to be actively looking to block someone as well.  Would love to see him catch a ball a bit down the field.

We can run this O vs bad Ds like DET and Chargers, but don't think this will be productive vs DEN or NO.

Yep.  I think he’s got a concussion

He had a bloody forehead from the hit and doesn't look right does he?

We lacked a competent QB when he trotted Sanchez out there. This is worse.

Yeah you're not wrong there. Early in the year he ran an offense that didn't make any sense and didn't help his QB. Now he's running a very basic run heavy offense which is a credit to him for changing it up but also we don't know what his offense really is.

Exactly.  Trotting Hurts out there keeps it that way.  Minshew offers the chance to see Sirianni's actual scheme and what he wants to do.
