If anything, it shows he stays true to his word of running an offense that fits his personnel. I think we all know he wants Philip Rivers 2.0 and 11 personnel to be the foundation of this offense.

That may be the whole of it, and since they are giving up on Hurts as a passer, the opportunities for Gainwell will be far more limited than previously.
