I'm not sold on Pickett at all. I'm cautious when he hasn't been on much of anyone's radar until this year, even though he is a 5th year senior. To me he doesn't even look like a better prospect than Brandon Weeden. I wouldn't touch him in the first 3 rounds.

This team is so much further away from being competitive than locking in a QB, weather high draft pick or big time FA acquisition. The front office needs to invest draft capital into the defense, I would very much like all 3 1st round picks to go towards defensive players.

Joe burrow wasn’t on anyone’s radar prior to his final year .

WAYYYY TOO EARLY for us to even think about the QB's in the draft.

Burrow wasnt on radar till late in the year. Tua was either going to go #2 or 52nd with no in between. Herbert moved up and down all year.

Like I said, theres going to be 5 QB's in the first round I think.

Malik, Howell, Pickett after a great bowl game, Carson Strong on a reach( hope its the eagles) and Corrall at the end of the first.

Yep. Strong is the guy if they go thst way.

There's a lot of d-line talent and DB talent.  The biggest reason I hope they keep Hurts for another season is that they would do much better adding defensive depth from this draft.

It's either draft a bunch of defenders or use the picks to trade for a veteran QB (Carr, Rodgers, Wilson).

Personally the only QB I would take in rd 1 , is Corral .

For some reason I looked up Cassius Marsh to see if anything more had come from the penalty.  Had no idea the guy has played for 9 teams (counting the Seahawks twice).

Is he the Josh Johnson of LB?

Do they have to keep Hurts?   Couldn't they try to extort some picks from a team for him and turn it over to Minshew while they wait to get a proper franchise QB?

Nope. The stats look good, but the underlying play is very inconsistent.  Jackson will likely fall down the Cam Newton hole of his body giving way because of his physicality

IDK. Lamar is really fast, and he seems to always escape the big hits. I think he's more like Randall Cunningham, RGIII... Perhaps one day he'll take one bad hit, probably to his leg, and it'll mess him up forever. Cam Newton, Carson Wentz... those guys just kept running into big hits. You knew it was going to add up and their days were numbered.

Lamar has the physical tools Hurts wishes he has. Hurts has the poise Lamar wishes he has.

To me this would be best for the offensive weapons, WR's and TE's. To have someone who can actually get them the ball and help them to develop. You want your young WR crew to be up to speed so when we do get a young QB, he can RELY on them.

I legit thought about this during the game. Aikman was downright flagrant with these lol.

Joe Burrow had an average year his first year starting and significantly improved his 2nd and took LSU to the national championship game and won decidedly and won the Heisman. I think that would put you on peoples radar no matter what.

Pickett is a 4 year starter and I don't think looks anything close to a prospect as Burrow did. I don't even think he's a better prospect than Brandon Weeden.

If he does the latter, firing squad. Two year rebuild with the draft picks.

Burrow wasn’t impressive his junior year , very average .. ,.Title game is no reflection on Pickett , Pitt didn’t have a team to compete for title , they never do .

Expect Pickett to be taken by Howie with the first available pick we have lol

I don't think that's Howie's call.

Yes, I said Burrow had an average 1st year at LSU. Never said Pickett needs to win the title. I just stated why Burrow raised up to the top of draft boards.

You can put me down for:

Birds - 19
Quadrupeds - 27

Eagles have more passing attempts than rushing attempts.

I think the latter is a lurie decision. So i expect lurie to in play for watson or Wilson if they are available. Heck schefter, banner and mortensen have basically said they are.

QB evaluation going into this year's draft will be a bit different; none of the top prospects will be playing in the College Football Playoff, possibly Ridder if CIN gets into the top 4?

Slovis, Rattler, Howell were the QBs rated highest before the season.  Guys like Rattler and JT Daniels couldn't even keep their starting jobs.  Who knows what most current NFL execs see as the present and future of the QB position?  Is it the short, scrambling QBs?  I think some execs desperately want a conventional 6'4 and 6'5 QB with a huge arm to emerge -- that guy doesn't seem to exist in this draft class.

@LeanMeanGM 42 -23 Broncos

@LeanMeanGM

Eagles 19

Broncos 33

Bonus - Reagor gets a td.

If the Eagles decide to move on from Miles Sanders they might be in the RB market in the middle rounds of the draft.  I like this Zac Charbonnet from UCLA -- big guy with good speed, who runs through guys on occasion.
