I am not a fan of Hurts, feel he has a lot to prove, I even agree that @Diehardfan’s comment was absurd.  Hurts played well.

Yes, against a bad team with short passes and making plays with his legs. It's not absurd. Same thing last year. That's who he is. Ask yourself why you aren't a fan? It's because you feel the same as I do that he isn't on the level that wins teams a SB. He makes plays and does his thing but doesn't have the skills to actually win it all.

I know Whiteside got hurt but for the love of god can we give up on this guy? Actually better he's not out there.

I didn't know he was hurt. What was the injury?

You’re right but the sloppy O-Line today was better than what we saw last season

BY FAR.....

Why not try Boston Scott on PR?

Did he even play today?

Saquan still tip toeing,

Jalen Hurts is nothing like Cam Newton. It’s a stupid comparison.

Cam is a completely unserious, me-first moron, who doesn’t have a lick of leadership skills.

Jalen, well, is the very opposite.

My two concerns with him we’re not issues today. He completed a good percentage of his  passes and led the team to points on multiple second half drives

No, it's an accurate one. There are QB in the league who can win SB and there are guys who beat crappy teams and dazzle with their playmaking and give people false hope. He is the latter.

He had a good game and looked capable running the offense. It’s one game. I don’t know how you can say too much about it other than he played well enough to win.  They didn’t win despite his play but because of it.

You're going to be waiting a bit me thinks :excited:

Probably because he will show just enough to get himself another year "because we have to wait and see". Longer it goes the worst it will be for the team. He is the guy who will get teams close to the playoffs or sneak in and then get his ass kicked. You see him going agains a Mahomes, Brady, Rodgers, or Wilson in a duel? No.

66 offensive plays.  0 for Boston Scott, 14 for JJAW, 15 for Greg Ward.

Like I said earlier.  Nice to see them know who belongs on the field and who doesn't.

One of the things I didn't like about DP was the constant rotation at positions.  No one ever got in to a groove.

Play your best players. PERIOD.

He didn’t turn the ball over.

Just checking in- Anyone else concerned about the lack of down field passing from the Birds in that game?  HUrts 1st TD was nice, but not much after that. Seemed like we were throwing everything within 10 yards of scrimmage. I thought for sure with the speed we have at WR now, we would at least take a few shots?

Atlanta was playing mostly soft zone. You don't get deep shots against that because the corners play off and the safeties play way off.

I could somewhat agree with this statement if hurts came out and just ran around all game and made some wow okays with his legs but he didn't do just that.

He played a pretty efficient game, there were a few times he left the pocket when he didn't need to I'm sure he missed a few reads and there are a couple throws he'd want back but for the most part he executed the game plan the coaches gave him and limited mistakes and negative plays

Zero turnovers, zero fumbles, zero could have been int throws, most the negative plays in this game were made by the O- line as they had some drive killing penalties.

I'm not so sure hurts will ever be a guy who o e can expect to drop back 50 times and carve up a defense from the pocket but I think one can win with him and I think he still has room for improvement as a passer.

Encouraging start for him today, especially in the not turning it over department.

Weirdly it seemed as if we were rotating our defensive personnel a lot. Still not sure what to make of this D. Other than the DL being dominant, albeit against a bad OL.

I think there are two starting LT's on other teams that went down today. Not hopeful but I wonder if any of the teams would consider trading for Dillard.

He was active but not sure he got any snaps on offense, I thought maybe he'd get a few but nothing🤷‍♂️

Well, you are consistent. And of course  you can spout this until he wins a SB.

Good god man, calm down, enjoy the win.

Some guys (including me I guess) have been terrible after this win. Everyone seems to forget this is a new starting QB New Coach New Scheme coming off two bad seasons of football.

Let’s enjoy today.

That sounds awful, if you can't taste those cookies I'll gladly take em off your hands, want me to PM you my address😉

Hope you're feeling better soon and your taste comes back, I lost my taste during chemo but I was throwing everything up any way so...

that whole situation in Green Bay reminds me of the whole situation with Terrell Owens. In the sense  when you have that much dysfunction in an off-season and it kind of goes through training camp then you’re gonna have problems. They probably recover because Aaron Rodgers is really good and that division I don’t think it’s very good but they should’ve traded him. Got Denver to give them a ton of assets and went with Jordan love just to see what Jordan love is.

Browns really haven’t done anything in the second half. They also lost their left tackle so that might be part of the issue. I spoke too soon
