I live on the west coast, so it’s pretty uncommon to find other Eagles fans out here and when I do I always get excited and make a point to say Go Birds to them. They usually say it back or throw a wave. Saw a guy today wearing an Eagles hat, I told him Go Birds, he gave me a weird look and didn’t say anything back.

was incredibly disappointing. I hate fans like that

Could have just been an introvert

Well, that doesn't really fit the narrative around here, does it?

Id like to know his percentage completing 3rd and 6 or more through the air. Seemed to be about 0.

That would be incorrect.

3-6-NO 15 (7:49) (Shotgun) J.Hurts pass short right to D.Goedert to NO 1 for 14 yards (K.Alexander).

3-2-PHI 33 (11:33) (Shotgun) J.Hurts pass short right to D.Smith to NO 34 for 33 yards (D.Davis). I guess this doesn't count, since it was less than 3rd and 6.

But this does: 3-6-NO 22 (8:58) (Shotgun) J.Hurts pass short right to D.Smith to NO 8 for 14 yards (M.Lattimore).

Percentage would appear to be more than 0, N'est-ce pas?

Anybody else still having a hard time processing what’s going on with this team?

Im still very confused here and having a hard time wrapping my mind around this turnaround.

Not that hard.  They are playing better and beating teams that are not as good as them.

If the narrative you are referring to is that Hurts' best feature is his legs, not his arm... then it seems to confirm it to me.

It definitely is, but I'd rather add a vet via FA and focus on defense and OL early.

I tend to think the eagles are going to take a developmental OT that stoutland likes in the middle rounds that can work with stoutland and eventually take over for Lane in a couple years. They basically have mailata at LT and lane for next year at RT due to lane’s contract and play since he’s come back.

The the elephant in the room is what the heck happens with dillard. Not going to give him his 5th year option without actually starting an entire season especially if lane is able to still play at a high level next year and stays relatively healthy. Not going to just let DIllard walk after his last year of his contract in 2022. I still think they would look to deal him if they got the right compensation.

@HazletonEagle

I bet the route at the 30 second mark was the one we wanted to see on replay when Hurts wanted the deep ball but it wasn’t there.

Welp.

Doubt he'll be hitting 22mph any time soon.  Shame.  He was starting to make some impact.

They aren’t just playing better. They were utter garbage just a few weeks ago and now they’re putting up historical numbers.

Even in 2013, don’t remember the turnaround being this drastic.

Well, if that's what you want to take out of it, fine with me.

Lattimore is terrific.

Berman confirmed your observation with his stats on 97.5 yesterday

Win percentage for the teams the eagles have beaten: .373 (19-31-1)

win percentage of teams the eagles lost too: .607 (37-24)

Not sure how else to take "what he does on the ground"...

Devonta held his own vs Lattimore and was drawing safety help on more than a few of those

It’s sucks that he went three picks prior to Barnett. I really wanted him that year. Although if both happened to be there i think the eagles would’ve taken Barnett cause they value pass rush more and probably thought with a deep corner class they could wait til the second round on that position. the saints also did that with Brandin cooks as well and supposedly the eagles loved him.

@HazletonEagle  Here is what Hurts did on third and 6 or longer…

* Hurts was 2-for-2 picking up third and six or longer on our first TD drive. He completed both to Goedert, a 16- and 14-yarder.

* Completed a four-yard pass to Scott on 3rd and 12 to get us a little closer on a 50 yard FG.

* On another field goal drive, Hurts completed a 14 yard pass to Goedert on third and 6. He later threw incomplete to Smith on third and 20.

* Incomplete on third and 6 on opening drive of the third quarter.

* On a FG to put us up 30-7 in the third, he completed a 14-yarder to Smith on third and six. I believe that was the screen. Later in the drive he was sacked on third and goal from the 8.

* First drive of the fourth quarter Goedert dropped a pass on third and 7 that likely would have picked up the first.

* Next drive sacked on third and 7.

* Final drive he scored the rushing TD to ice the game on third and 6.

Ehh. Lattimore locked him up for the most part. It’s OK to admit it.

without doing the math, it sounds like maybe about 50%.

Its not as bad as it seemed to me during the game. But not great either.

They smoked us at every turn. They also took Marcus Williams one spot ahead of Sidney Jones and then Trey Hendrickson a little after we picked Rasul Douglas.

At the Flyers game tonight.  We are worse live than on TV.

Yup. Lattimore is a top 5 CB. Great learning experience for Smith.

Smith is a good, but not great athlete. He's not beating Lattimore until he masters NFL-level route running.

I’m jealous. I’ve had that 3 times on thanksgiving before. I was craving it this year.

I’ve made all my previous turduckens, this is a store bought one.  I do hope it is as tasty!

Emphatically don’t agree. I thought he had a bad game. I made one post to that effect. I’ll put up more when the All-22 is up.

It’s a no-brainer if/when Brooks gets back. Brooks is much better. That’s not to say Driscoll is bad; he can start for a lot of teams but both Brooks and Seumalo are better.

Driscoll has done a good job adjusting to playing RG, but people forget how dominant Brooks was for four seasons, and he's not exactly "old."

He was back from the Achilles, the Pec was just a fluke injury. When healthy he's easily on of the top 3 NFL OGs (Nelson, Martin and who else?)

Brandon Brooks is the starter when he's available. Of course, he'll only play a game or two...but he'll be great in those snaps.
