I agree, one needs to continue to improve the roster overall and at some point putting so many resources into one position( WR) is detrimental to the over all building of the roster.

The eagles need so much at so many positions especially on defense and I just think spending another high pick on another WR is a misuse if resources, especially when Howie is the one pulling the trigger 

 

I kind of think they are setting this up to change QBs and save face for Hurts for trade value. Hurts will start against the Jets but have a very short leash. If he sucks, which he probably will, they will yank him for Minshew and claim hes not fully recovered from the ankle injury. Minshew will perform slightly above average and the controversy begins. They head into the bye and make the change to Minshew and stick Hurts on IR.

I really don't trust Howie selecting anyone, he's been pretty bad at drafting defense as well. I guess he's been ok at drafting o-linemen if anything though that may be more because of Stout.

As long the receivers can develop with the QB I'd be okay with Minshew for the rest of the season

It wasn't his fault he was drafted ahead of like 20 better wr's. That was Howie's fault. ANd once he was drafted in the 1st rd, he could never live up to those expectations. Then once people here started getting on Howie for drafting him instead of Jefferson, he lacks the ability to even play up to his own potential, because we are all in his head living rent free. There is no way he will succeed here. 

 

He needs to go and get a fresh start. 

 

 

 

 

 

And we need to fire Howie.

He wouldn't know what fans think if he stayed off of social media. Just work on his game until his number is called. He needs to work on returns while he's at it too. They aren't going to cut him though.
