Wow yeah, I wasn't even sure he played as I can't remember hearing his name or even seeing him on the field. Definitely low key day, at least he didn't. Get any penalties or make any bone headed mistakes where he would be noticed.
September 13, 20214 yr It's not like anyone got a ton of sacks yesterday folks let's give Kerrigan a little time

If the Bears want Dillard, they most likely would be looking to send a player for him. I'd honestly see if they are willing to let go of Roquan Smith. I'd love that but I sincerely doubt Chicago would do that move. Maybe we can get one of their second string up and comer back 7 pieces. I'd even try a Dillard & Nelson for Jaylon Johnson, but that's probably not realistic either.
September 13, 20214 yr Worried about the defense against the 49ers. Much better running team than the Falcons. Falcons were having their way with us in the ground until they abandoned it for the pass to try to get back in the game.

I look at the Lions as a both 5... maybe bottom 3 team 289 yards of that was after the Niners went to a prevent defense in the 3rd quarter with a 38-10 lead. @4for4EaglesNest if you could quote so the fraud can see it. He does not want to discuss football with me after the beatings. But I will play nice and not bring up his past transgressions if he is man enough.

Like i said above that was a Detroit special. They did this all the time with Stafford. Get down big midway or late in the 3rd. Make a huge comeback when the team took their foot off the gas. Windup still losing but it looks close at the end. That’s really just the lions being the lions.

Darrisaw was starting them straight in the face and they badly needed oline help. They decided to be morons and take a wr even though they had golladay, Shepard and slayton. This was more of gettleman just being a moron. That said their saving grace is Daniel jones sucks and at least they’ll have their own high pick as well as the bears high first round pick to go get a QB next year. Yup. I really liked toney, I thought he could be a really dangerous slot, and I thought he was a 3rd rounder possibly late 2nd, that giants took him in the first when they needed help elsewhere was mind boggling. That giants team isn't very good not sure what gettlemen is doing but then again F em.

If the Colts know they have nothing to play for by week 11-12, the smart thing from a franchise standpoint is to sit Wentz and save your 1st round pick. However, if every team in their division is just in that .500 range then they have everything to play for. Going to be interesting see how it all plays out. I know it’s the smart thing to do from a franchise standpoint, but it’s really hard to imagine a team benching a starting QB for multiple weeks because they want their 1st round pick. I think we tend to forget these are real people playing who have their own careers potentially on the line. Moves like that is what makes people leave. Doug did it for 1 week and there was an uproar.
September 13, 20214 yr 5 minutes ago, Ipiggles said: 38-13 would say otherwise. The Titans are the biggest Jekyll and Hyde team. Last year they blew the doors off the bills like 45-16. Then a couple weeks later the Colts destroyed them by 17. Then two weeks later they destroyed the Colts. Followed by a couple weeks later the browns were up 30 at the half against the Titans. The Titans defense is the biggest issue. They were really bad last year for most of the season. Yesterday they didn’t look much better and what made it worse the Cardinals pass rush just destroyed their oline so the offense got nothing going either.
September 13, 20214 yr Tough to get a feel for Sirianni's philosophy but I love the game plan Keep it basic, dont take many chances, and dont beat yourself. Both sides of the ball played out that way Long term, I think thats the only approach you can take on defense. Anything else and youre living dangerously On offense, other than going for a couple 4th downs, it was really conservative. Even the 4th down calls were conservative. I think some, maybe a lot of that, had to do with Hurts himself playing things safely. It will be interesting to see if it changes when theyre forced to

He has been playing football for like 3 years now, and that extension is going to end up being a bargain. He eviscerated that poor CB on that kick out block. When you watch them line up, he makes all the other offensive linemen look tiny. Also remember, Jason Peters didn't start out as an offensive lineman, he was actually a Tight End. My point, just because Mailata didn't start out as an Offensive Lineman, well....that doesn't mean he won't be one of the best. Also on the note regarding JP, he should not be playing football any more. He looked pathetic in the Chicago game.....which is sad. Mailata's improvement has been nice. This was his first exposure to real 'crowd noise'. Not surprisingly, he had some false starts. It comes with the territory. He'll improve at that, too.

I was not pleased with the 12 men on the field penalty on the first defensive series... same with the delay of game on the first offensive series. It ended well though, that was cleaned up quickly.
