Good.  We’ll need him now that the passing of Jalen Hurts is off the table.

Geez.  There's a lot to like about Hurts but he has so many question marks as if to he is an NFL quarterback.  The Hurts is untouchable, don't question his ability crowd is ridiculous.  What has Hurts done to deserve this status?

This is going to sound very get off my lawn, but the Dr. Pepper challenge has become a joke.  It has nothing to do with football skill and throwing aim.  Credit to the kids who figured out how to get the ball in the bucket though.

Simple solution... back them up another 10 yards.  Shuffling the ball won't work and they'd actually have to throw it properly... or at least close to properly.

Alternatively... go back to the QB challenge days and chalk up the end of the football and have them throw at a bullseye type target, and add up the points they get based on 'touching' the inner circles.  10 for the bullseye, 5 for the second ring, 1 for the outer ring... and then they'd have to throw properly to get the chalk part to land on the target.

After ishing the bed last week vs the VaGiants I would think the Eagles will play today to try and wipe that bitter memory out of their minds forever.  And they get to prove it in the very same stadium so good opportunity to reverse that bad mojo.  Plus, the NYJ on D have the worst QBR against, the 2nd worst YPA against, allow the 4th most pass yards against, allow the 6th most rush yards against, and allow the 7th worst YPC against.  They are a bad defensive team.

@LeanMeanGM

Eagles 34

Jets 16

Bonus:  #1 - Eagles have 150+ rushing yards and 250+ passing yards; #2 - Minshew throws for over 250+ yards and 2+ TDs including one TD over 50+ yards.

Minshew will dink and dunk down the field, to take the weight off the surviving RBs. He'll have gaudy completion % but few throws over 20 yards.

Hard to run 40+ times with Scott and Huntley and Minshew not a runner.

Its funny…not like hahah funny more like sad, predictable funny…to even the media members are trying to preempt minshew making hurts look bad

Is Sanders seriously injured again???

@HazletonEagle  Opinion on this ankle of Hurts?  It's not a high sprain and it's not a brake.  So how is it that it's worse then it was earlier in the week?  Don't ankle sprains improve over time?  Especially since Hurts said he was good to go in the middle of the week.  Thoughts?

He could have tweaked it literally stepping off a curb.  Those things can be quite delicate.

The ankle is very convenient for Siri.

He gets to try Minshew for a week with minimal drama (we’ll, minimal for Philly)

Like many discussions in society, the one involving Hurts has become so polarized that any rational thought quickly gets thrown out the window. For a coaching staff that loves to talk about competition, and for a team that has made 100 bad personnel decisions over the last few years, there should be a lengthy discussion inside the building about the starting qb position if Minshew plays well.

He had a terrible oline in Jacksonville and was noticeably better than both Glennon and Foles when he played under similar circumstances as them. If this team wants to win games, and that should be the point, they should absolutely consider a change at qb if Minshew lights it up. And any member of the media saying that it shouldn't even be discussed is being moronic.

I’m sure if Minshew plays well, Hurts ankle will conveniently linger for at least a couple more weeks

The best at breaking down OL gives some Pro Bowl love for Lane, Dickerson, Kelce and Mailata.

Hurts would want to keep playing despite the injury.  Agree that the ankle gives Siri a good excuse to try Minshew in game situations to know if he is in the picture for next season.  It could get tricky if Minshew plays well against the Jets.  Who will start the game after that?

Yeah....ok.    No chance he tweaked it.  Guys play with bum ankles all of the time.  That is what tape is for.  Especially for a QB.  But then again, he's a passing RB.  So we pretty much have our answer.

Well ok if you say so dude :roll:

A running QB in a game mid season with the bye coming up is a good time to give him the day off and see what the O looks like without him and his sheety passing

Minshew will because Hurts’ ankle will linger.

From a real account.

That will be a big litmus test for Ridder, if he can deliver against Bama, he'll punch his ticket to the first round.

I like the Virginia QB Armstrong. Think he’ll be in NFL for awhile, has chance. Projected 5th rounder. Would like Eagles to take flier on him.

So we are keeping the same offense...

If they wanna give Squirts the rest of the season, fine. But he is either auditioning for another team if we can get a mid round pick or he is auditioning to be a cheap back up for us for the next few years.

Cant keep him as a backup. Be a locker room turd

Meh....not a fan.  I'd rather bulk up on positions of greater need and importance.  Especially since I am convinced that Lowie will try to trade one of the 1st for 2023 picks.

I'm in the same boat of wanting different positions.  Just think Metchie might present to great a value of he there on the 3rd. Not saying he's the guy but I'd get it if they went that way.

So with Hurts assumed absence today, Wentz will have missed fewer games and snaps.

after today's performance I hope the team doesn't look like this
